SEATTLE -- If Lamar Neagle never quite felt at home last year in Montreal, thats no longer a problem now that hes back in Seattle. Fake MLB Jerseys . Neagle scored in the 57th minute and the Sounders rallied for a 2-1 victory over Chivas USA on Sunday night. Obafemi Martins started the winning play when he sprinted down the right side to catch up with the ball just inside the penalty area. He sent it across to Mauro Rosales on the penalty spot, and Rosales, as he was falling down, tapped it to his left to Neagle. From 13 yards in front, Neagle, who grew up in Federal Way, about 30 minutes south of Seattle, drilled it into the back left corner past goalkeeper Dan Kennedy for his fifth goal of the season. "It was a good build-up by everybody -- Oba taking it down the line, getting a cross to Mauro, and Mauro barely getting a touch on it perfect to me," Neagle said. "I just put it back where it came from." Neagle played for Seattle in 2009 and 2011 before being sent to the Montreal Impact prior to last season in the trade that brought U.S. national teamer Eddie Johnson to the Sounders. Seattle reacquired Neagle this past winter. "I think his year in Montreal ended up being a little bit of a lost year," Sounders coach Sigi Schmid said. "When he first came back here, he seemed to be a little off his touch. But I think slowly and gradually, his confidence has grown. He has given us what we expected -- thats the reason we made the trade (in January) to bring him back." Brad Evans also scored for the Sounders (8-7-4), who are unbeaten in their last eight games at home (4-0-4) to tie a franchise record. Seattles only home loss was 1-0 to Montreal in the season opener. Erick Torres tallied late in the 16th minute for Chivas (4-12-5), which was playing for the first time since it snapped a 14-game winless streak on July 17. It was the first time since Sept. 8, 2012, -- also a 2-1 victory against Chivas -- that the Sounders came back to win after allowing the first goal of the game. They had been 0-9-1 when the opponent scored first. "It was three points. Whether the scoreline was 2-1 or 3-1 or 1-0 doesnt matter as long as it was three points," Schmid said after the Sounders halted a three-game winless streak. "I was pleased that we played better soccer today. That was the emphasis before the game -- lets not worry about the W. The W will take care of itself. Lets be immersed in the game, lets be focused, lets have our concentration level. I thought we had that for the majority of the game." Chivas took a 1-0 lead when Carlos Alvarez got past two Seattle defenders and tapped the ball to his left. Torres ran onto it, and from 14 yards out fired it across the penalty area and past Sounders goalkeeper Andrew Weber into the back right corner. That was the second goal in two games for Torres, who scored in his MLS debut on July 17 to beat Toronto 1-0. "There were two parts to the game," Chivas USA coach Jose Luis Real said. "In the first half, Chivas couldnt have gotten a better result, in my opinion. In the second half, however, we played differently. During the second half, we lost a lot of the balls and the possession of the ball. That was the main defect that we had." Rosales and Martins factored into Evans tying goal. Controlling the ball along the right sideline, Rosales crossed it to Martins. He sent a through ball toward the top of the box and Evans ran onto it, sending it to the back left corner for his second of the year. Kennedy played his 100th MLS game, all with Chivas USA. Replica Jerseys . The 29-year-old Baines has established himself as one of the top attacking full backs in the country and was the subject of two bids from United during the last off-season. Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that keeping Baines at the club is a "massive boost and exciting for the future" because he brings "maturity and football knowledge in a very specialized position on the pitch" and an "infectious and positive influence to the rest of the squad. Fake Soccer Jerseys . Soukalova missed only one target and completed the 15-kilometre course in 40 minutes, 32.6 seconds for both victories in this seasons individual discipline. Darya Domracheva of Belarus was second, 34. https://www.fakejerseys.us.com/ . The winner Saturday will remain in the elite 10-team field next year. "We talked about wanting to be disciplined and stick with our game plan and good things will come," Draisaitl said, who had two goals for the victors. It is a positive report for most of the NFC South, but problems persist for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the week nine grading. AFC EASTMiami Dolphins (W 27-23 v New York Jets)Only 130 yards on offence for Jay Ajayi against the Jets (plus another touchdown), but the Dolphins managed to even up their record at 4-4 despite quarterback Ryan Tannehill struggling to deal with the Jets front seven. Kenyan Drake proved the hero with a game-winning 96-yard kick-off return. Grade B+ Highlights of the Miami Dolphins win over the New York Jets in Week 9 of the NFL. New York Jets (L 23-27 at Miami)A strange performance from the Jets who only gave Matt Forte the ball 12 times on the ground - he nearly broke 100 yards with those carries but seemed to be frozen out of their offence for long spells in a game they really should have won. With Ryan Fitzpatrick struggling as well that seemed an inexplicable decision, and the Jets now appear to be playing for a high draft pick (and possibly a new QB with it). Grade CBuffalo Bills (L 25-31 at Seattle)A cracking Monday night game ended in agonising defeat for the Bills and fury from coach Rex Ryan over the officiating. Whether it made a difference can be talked over for days but nothing will change the score - a tough luck loss after impressive displays from quarterback Tyrod Taylor and receiver Robert Woods, who caught 10 passes for 162 yards. Grade BNew England Patriots - byeAFC NORTHBaltimore Ravens (W 21-14 v Pittsburgh)An impressive win for the Ravens in a dour defence-led game where neither team broke 300 yards. They stifled Ben Roethlisberger for three quarters but were reliant on a 95-yard Mike Wallace score, where Pittsburghs defence fell apart, and a blocked punt for the majority of their points. Grade B+ Highlights of the Baltimore Ravens win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9 of the NFL. Pittsburgh Steelers (L 14-21 at Baltimore)Roethlisberger came through his return safely, but he was inaccurate for long spells before almost guiding the Steelers to a final quarter comeback. The Steelers defence played very well barring the 95-yard touchdown they gave up, conceding less than 200 yards in the rest of the game. A defeat yes, and possibly a costly one, but this was not a dreadful performance. Grade C+ WATCH: Worst rabona ever? Steelers kicker Chris Boswell tries an onside kick, and fails spectacularly! Cleveland Browns (L 10-35 v Dallas)Cody Kessler returned at quarterback for the Browns and played well to a point, but they got very little from the rest of their offence and produced almost nothing of consequence on defence to trouble the red-hot Cowboys. You wonder where a win might come from for Hue Jacksons men who face a series of tough opponents down the stretch. Grade FCincinnati Bengals - byeAFC SOUTHIndianapolis Colts (W 31-26 at Green Bay)A huge road win for the Colts, although they were holding on in the closing minutes and did well to keep the Packers off the field after Randall Cobbs touchdown 3:29 from the final whistle. Andrew Luck failed to impress, not for the first time this season, but Frank Gore ploughed over for two scores and Jordan Todmans 99-yard kick-off return on the first play proved key. Grade A Highlights of the Indianapolis Colts win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 of the NFL. Video from NFL.com Jacksonville Jaguars (L 14-19 at Kansas City)You have to feel sorry for the Jaguars, who coughed the ball up on the goalline as they started to muster up a fightback in Arrowhead Stadium. But, once again, Blake Bortles woke up too late and that means six defeats on a busted season for the Jags, who played much better on defence but still end up losing to a team that managed only one touchdown. Grade CTennessee Titans (L 35-43 at San Diego)Disappointment for the Titans, and in particular Marcus Mariota, in Southern California. Mariota coughed up a costly fumble which was returned for a touchdown and threw two interceptions, and its that inconsistency which stops him from elevating this team at the moment, but they remain well in the playoff hunt in one of the leagues weaker divisions. Grade CHouston Texans - bye  AFC WESTOakland Raiders (W 30-20 v Denver)Any Raiders doubters have surely been silenced now after a superb rushing display from Latavius Murray and company and some stifling defence, with Khalil Mack looking like the player Oakland wanted when he was drafted so highly in 2014. Derek Carr was kept quiet but the Raiders didnt need him with Murray able to convert drives on three occasions as he ran for 114 yards against a feared Broncos defence. Grade A+ Highlights of the Oakland Raiders win over the Denver Broncos in Week 9 of the NFL. Video from NFL.com San Diego Chargers (W 43-35 v Tennessee)Not a whole lot of defence was played in this thrilling game but the Chargers managed one big play with Dwight Lowerys fumble recovery for a touchdown. The rest of their win was down to Philip Rivers, who threw two first-half touchdown passes and Melvin Gordon who dominated the second half and had 261 yards of total offence on his own to beat the Titans. Grade AKansas City Chiefs (W 19-14 v Jacksonville)Alex Smith and Spencer Ware missed the game through injury and the Chiefs suffered badly on offence in a game they appeared somewhat lucky to win. The Jaguars outgained them 449 yards to 231 and were made to pay for some costly fumbles, including one that cost them a touchdown. An escape for the under-manned Chiefs. Grade B Highlights of the Kansas City Chiefs win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 of the NFL. Denver Broncos (L 20-30 at Oakland)The most disappointing display of the season for Denver and it came in a massive divisional game. They had no running game at all, going for only 33 yards, and although Trevor Siemian played better, he was constantly pressured by Khalil Mack and the Raiders defence. Denvers own D played okay but nothing like their normally elite standard. Grade C-NFC EASTDallas Cowboys (W 35-10 at Cleveland)The Cowboys continue to go from strength to strength under the leadership of rookies Dak Prescott (21-27 for 247 yards and three TDs) and Ezekiel Elliott (92 yards, 2 TDs). Yes, it was only the winless Browns, but a net 200-yard advantage on the road still has to be applauded. This really is a team going place, perhaps even to the Super Bowl. Grade A Highlights of the Dallas Cowboys win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 9 of the NFL. Fake Baseball Jerseys. New York Giants (W 28-23 v Philadelphia)Very nervous in the end for the Giants, who played very well on defence and were thankful to Eli Manning for a four-touchdown performance to stifle the Eagles, who easily outgained them on offence but constantly came up short on the games biggest plays. They could really do with someone coming forward to lead their running corps. Grade A- Highlights of the New York Giants win over the PhiladelphiaEagles in Week 9 of the NFL. Philadelphia Eagles (L 23-28 at New York Giants)Nearly 450 yards of net offence ending in defeat is going to hurt for the Eagles, who have now lost three of their last four games. Carson Wentz threw two early picks before settling down but they wasted chances and now have to find some consistency to climb out of the divisional basement. Grade CWashington Redskins - byeNFC NORTHDetroit Lions (W 22-16 (OT) at Minnesota)A massive win for the Lions, who struggled to break down Minnesotas tough defence for long spells but came back to force overtime thanks to a superb 58-yard field goal from Matt Prater. Golden Tates sheer strength after the catch gave them the win, but there was some luck involved with Blair Walsh missing a vital point after during regulation that might have put the game beyond them. Grade B+ Highlights of the Detroit Lions win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 of the NFL. Minnesota Vikings (L 16-22 (OT) v Detroit)The Vikings will wonder how they lost this game, playing well on defence and with Sam Bradford only missing on nine of his 40 pass attempts. The problem was that most of them were short passes, with Stefon Diggs having 13 catches for only 80 yards, and they failed to convert a number of chances, meaning Blair Walshs missed extra point would prove vital. Grade C Highlights of the Atlanta Falcons win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Video from NFL.com Green Bay Packers (L 26-31 v Indianapolis)This division looks wide open all of a sudden with the Packers giving up a home game most expected them to win handsomely. Aaron Rodgers struggled with his rhythm before two fourth quarter TD passes but he could not get back on the field in the last three minutes to try and engineer what would have been an incredible, and possibly undeserved, comeback for victory. Grade D+Chicago Bears - byeNFC SOUTHAtlanta Falcons (W 43-28 at Tampa Bay)Plenty to like from the Falcons on offence with Matt Ryan continuing his rise into the NFLs quarterback elite, if hes not already there. Four more touchdowns in a polished display with four different receivers on the end of them. Defence was questionable at times against the pass and struggled to contain Mike Evans, but this was a good win. Grade A- Highlights of the New Orleans Saints win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9 of the NFL. New Orleans Saints (W 41-23 at San Francisco)Simply sensational offence from the Saints, who burned the awful 49ers defence for almost 600 yards. Mark Ingram returned from the dog house for 158 yards on the ground and two touchdowns, with rookie receiver Michael Thomas adding two more. The black mark? Giving up almost 400 yards to 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Grade A- Watch this brilliant catch from New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas against San Francisco 49ers. Carolina Panthers (W 13-10 at Los Angeles)The Panthers are still struggling badly on offence, gaining less than 250 yards net against a tough Rams D. But they made the most of Greg Olsens early touchdown catch thanks to their own defensive effort, with a series of big plays made at just the right time to stop Rams drives. Grade B Highlights of the Carolina Panthers win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9 of the NFL. Video from NFL.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers (L 28-43 v Atlanta)The Bucs passing game was in sync, even when Mike Glennon came in for a banged-up Jameis Winston, but they offered nothing on the ground in the absence of Jacquizz Rodgers and Doug Martin and their defence was simply dreadful. Grade D-NFC WESTSeattle Seahawks (w 31-25 v Buffalo)Plenty of luck for the Seahawks, helped by some questionable refereeing, but a win is a win. No running game, and their defence struggled to contain Buffalo but a resurgent Jimmy Graham, who had 103 yards and two touchdowns, made the difference in the end. They desperately need to re-find their running game. Grade BLos Angeles Rams (L 10-13 v Carolina)Frustration for the Rams, who played so well on defence but could not convert anything on offence until a late Kenny Britt touchdown gave them hope of a comeback, killed off by a ridiculously-bad kickoff attempt. Case Keenum played better than his Twickenham horror show but so often drives stalled and he heard shouts of We want Goff from the sidelines. Only a matter of time, surely. Grade C-San Francisco 49ers (L 23-41 v New Orleans)Swiss cheese would be suing if you likened it to the 49ers defence, which clearly has a good deal more holes. They couldnt stop Drew Brees, Mark Ingram or even Tim Hightower and have so many questions to answer - at least it looks like Colin Kaepernicks short-term future might not be one of them after his best display in two years. BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns murky quarterback situation may be clearing. Jalen McDaniels Hornets Jersey .Josh McCown is on track to return and start Sundays game against the Jets. Coach Hue Jackson said that McCown has been medically cleared from his broken left collarbone to play. The veteran was a full participant in practice, but Jackson said he wont name McCown the starter until he goes through the full week of practice.Definitely been medically cleared, Jackson said. Well see how it goes the rest of the week and go from there. If McCown starts, it increases the Browns chances to win their first game. Cody Kessler is in the NFL concussion protocol and the only other two quarterbacks are recently activated or signed rookies Kevin Hogan and Joe Callahan.McCowns full practice was his first since he broke his collarbone in a loss to Baltimore on Sept. 18. He has been doing limited work in practice the previous two weeks, but was cleared to play this week.Obviously the doctors and everybody wouldnt allow me to be out there if we werent going in the right direction, McCown said.Jackson has been through several midweek injuries this season, so he said he wanted to wait to see how he turns out.Things change, as you guys know, during the week, Jackson said.McCown faced the Jets a year ago in the season opener, and guided the Browns on a 90-yard drive. But on third down he tried to run for a touchdown and was helicoptered in the air. The result: A concussion and a fumble recovered by the Jets in the end zone.In his only start this season, McCown scored three first-half touchdowns and had the Browns ahead 20-0. He played with the injury and the Ravens came back to win 25-20.What he did way back then was a long time ago, Jackson said. Thats why I keep saying we got to work in practice and see where we are. Hes a veteran player who knows how to play, knows our system. Hopefully if hes out there it means hes the best guy standing right now.Jets receiver Brandon Marshall was a teammate of McCowns in 2013 when McCown had one of his better seasons as Jay Cutlers backup in Chicago.Josh is back? Marshall said on a conference call. Thats my guy, man. [Hes] just an awesome man. Awesome quarterback. The Adelaide 36ers have extended their unbeaten run in the NBL to five games after blowing out the Taipans in Cairns with a 96-83 win.The Snakes looked to be in for a rough Monday night when the 36ers shot out to a double-digit lead courtesy of Nathan Sobey, who looked determined to give his former club a wake-up call. The Warrnambool-born guard was an energiser bunny on his old floor and slammed home two dunks before a corked wrist in the second quarter seemed to slow his output before he rebounded to finish on 19 points.Hurt by a Sydney Kings comeback earlier in the round, the Taipans sparked one of their own to end the first quarter just three points behind, with their equal-opportunity offence coming from Mitch McCarron, Nate Jawai and Mark Worthington.Cairns then continued in the second quarter to lead by nine points when centre Jawai began to find his rhythm after missing a two-handed jam in the first quarter.Adelaide big man Daniel Johnson responded, though, and his input was critical to the 36ers regaining the lead early in the third term - one they wouldnt relinquish. The Taipans shooting percentage abandoned them when they needed it the most in the dying stages, finishing thee game at 41 per cent from the field compare with Adelaides 52 per cent. It was a huge area we targeted coming into this game, Wright said. The Taipans have lost two in a row at home, and coach Aaron Fearne was blunt. If I was a fan I would be pissed off and disappointed. It is embarrassing for me that we would come here and play like that, he said. ' ' '
CHENEY, Wash. Los Angeles Lakers Store . -- Beau Baldwin could not remember ever being a part of a playoff shutout. In college football these days that doesnt happen, Baldwin, the Eastern Washington coach, said. His Eagles came close last week, when they held Central Arkansas scoreless after the first quarter. Early on we really couldnt get a break, we turned the ball over four times in the first half, Richmond coach Danny Rocco said. When it was all said and done I think it was a little too much to ever really overcome. The Eagles scored twice on the ground in the second half, one from Jabari Wilson and the other from Antoine Custer Jr.Offensively on a day thats tough, its cold, were just executing and taking care of the football, grinding out drives, hitting plays when we need to, Baldwin said. Sometimes when youre up 21-0 it can be really easy to take, not purposefully, a little gasp and wait for the game to finish and our offense went right down and scored on that first drive of the second half.Richmond quarterback Kevin Johnson went 20 for 31 for 157 yards and an interception. You cannot get away with playing average golf, youve got to be on top of your game, and thats why Id pick Lydia Ko to win. Kos winning rate is outstanding considering the quality of the fields week in, week out Hopefully Charley Hull will have a good run, and Inbee Park finished second last week so I wouldnt be surprised to see her and Lydia fighting out another tournament.Lydia is just incredible. To put her achievements into perspective, I won 20 LPGA Tour events over 28 years, and shes already won 11 in three years and shes still only 18. A winning rate of four per year is extraordinary, and its so tough to be that consistent because every week sees a strong field. Annika Sorenstam won a remarkable 93 professional titles, including 10 majors The prospect of her keeping that up should be a little unrealistic, and I thought it would be impossible to match what Annika Sorenstam achieved in her career. But the way Lydia has started out, shes on pace to keep up with Annika. Time will tell if she can keep this going, and if she can, it will be astounding. She just doesnt hit any bad shots, and if she does miss the odd green, she gets up and down most of the time because her short game is so good. She literally has no weaknesses. Charley Hull is two years older than Ko and still looking for her breakthrough win in the United States, and Davies feels the Solheim Cup star will be a force to be reckoned with in the not-to-distant future.Charleys very young, exciting to watch and still so enthusiastic about everything, she added. Maybe she should be less aggressive and not keep going for the big shot all the time, but I cant really say anything because I used to play right on the limit! Charley Hull is exciting to watch, but Davies feels she needs to curb her aggression But thats the way Charley plays and its why I love watching her. Maybe she should back off a little bit, and she needs to make the odd extra putt that isnt dropping at the moment, and that is the difference between a solid top-10 finish and a win. When she matures a little more, I reckon in a couple of years shell be up there contending every single week. Charley is such a good ball-striker, and the fact that she hasnt been as successful as Lydia Ko is a surprise to me.Meanwhile, Davies is keen to host her own tournament on the Ladies European Tour schedule for the benefit of her new Laura Davies Foundation, while also helping to give British players a rare opportunity to play on home soil. Dame Laura Davies hopes to have her own tournament on the Ladies European Tour She said: My brother runs my foundation and he came to me with his business partner a while ago with the idea of having our own tournament. I thought it was a great idea, and we announced the Foundation shortly after that.So it seems like a natural fit, and if we can get this on the LET schedule, the Foundation will benefit financially and we can raise money for the causes we follow - Great Ormond Street Hospital and others like that. Davies feels there are not nearly enough events on British soil Its also a great chance for British players to play an event in this country. One of the main reasons theres a lack of British stars is that weve got the Womens British Open - and half of them dont get in it - and the Ladies European Masters. Only two tournaments on home soil is not enough.Im not saying its going to happen. Im not directly involved in it, but I know my brother is struggling to find a sponsor right now.Davies will also be glued to Skys televison coverage of The Masters next week, and feels Adam Scott will be the man to beat at Augusta National. Dame Laura is backing Adam Scott to win the Masters I think it will be Adams year again. I know Jason Day has just won back-to-back, but Adam did that earlier and hes won the Masters before and that might be the deciding factor. Jordan Spieth isnt playing brilliantly at the moment, so its tough to see him defending.I think Justin Rose will have a good run at it, but Scott would be my pick. For more details about the Laura Davies Foundation, visit her official website here. At the age of 60, Adams has seen it, done it, and worn the t-shirt, with that identifiable nickname of Wolfie emblazoned on the back. The three-time Lakeside champion caused a stir in the sport when he finally agreed to take part in last years Grand Slam of Darts, a tournament which pits BDO players against their rivals from the PDC. Not even an ongoing battle with cancer could prevent the much-loved Adams from returning this year, such was his enjoyment of that maiden appearance. Its been three days since the teams last took the court on Tuesday, when San Antonio emerged with a 2-0 series advantage after a 93-89 overtime win. "Im sure if you get a break you want to take advantage of it and maybe take a little bit of a mental as well as a physical break," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich about the extended layoff. "But, at the same time do something to make sure you maintain at least your base conditioning, do some film and keep everybody focused on what were trying to do, but not beat anybody over the head and then just pick it up toward game time." The Grizzlies needed the break to try and get their offense going, especially the spectacular big-man combo of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Their scoring is way down through the first two games and Randolph, in particular, has been disappointing with an average of 8.5 ppg. "It was frustrating," admitted Randolph. "When you miss shots that you usually make, its frustrating." Another problem offensively has been Tayshaun Prince. The starting forward has eight points in this series, but head coach Lionel Hollins wont change the starting lineup. Although, he did admit to thinking about it. "Its something Ive thought about. Its not something Im ready to do," said Hollins. "Theres no need at this point to change the starting lineup. We lost an overtime game and we got blown out in a game. Weve got to play better earlier, and weve got to play better later." The Grizzlies put the clamps on the Spurs in the fourth quarter of Game 2. After getting demolished in Game 1 and down double-digits at the start of the final frame Tuesday, Memphis held San Antonio to nine points to force overtime. The Grizz didnt get it done in tthe extra session, but there were encouraging signs. Wholesale Shoes China Free Shipping. "Yeah, the way we came back, the way we put pressure on them in the game," said Randolph when asked about gaining confidence from the comeback in Game 2. "In overtime we missed some shots, they made some shots, just little mistakes here and there kept us out of the game." The Grizzlies may be down 0-2, but they know they arent out of it if recent history is any kind of barometer. They fell down 0-2 to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs, then won four straight to advance. "We went on the road in every series and we lost, we had to come back," explained Hollins. "Were at home, and we want to come out and play much more aggressive, much more confident, which teams usually do at home, and as I told our team, being home is not going to win anything for us, we have to go out and play much better." The Spurs received steady contributions from everyone in Game 2. All five starters scored in double figures, and all five bench players who got into the game managed at least three points. San Antonio was led in scoring by the venerable Tim Duncan, who was named to the All-NBA First Team on Thursday. "I know that he was touched when he found out," Popovich said on Thursday. "All-NBA anything is pretty special if you think about it. Its something we really respect and feel great about, and then well forget about it." Duncan was not the only Spurs player to make one of the leagues three teams. Tony Parker made the All-NBA Second Team, but the elite guard underwent an MRI exam on his ailing calf and theres no real change. "Everything is fine," said Parker, who had 15 points and 18 assists in Game 2. "I feel like Im turning the corner and I feel like Ill be fine for Saturday. It feels better." Game 4 will be Monday night in Memphis. ' ' '
Pablo Sandoval says he isnt proud of what he has become over the past two years and insists he is ready to make the most of the second chance hes about to receive. Clayton Thorson Youth Jersey .In a joint English-Spanish interview with ESPN.com and ESPN Deportes Marly Rivera, Sandoval said he got complacent after signing a five-year, $95 million contract with the Boston Red Sox in November 2014 and pledged to start my baseball career all over again now that he is fully recovered from left shoulder surgery. My career had fallen into an abyss because I was so complacent with things that I had already accomplished, Sandoval said by phone in his first public comments since August. I did not work hard in order to achieve more and to remain at the level of the player that I am and that I can be.A wildly popular three-time World Series champion and two-time All-Star with the San Francisco Giants, Sandoval has been a bust with the Red Sox. Since the beginning of the 2015 season, he has batted .242 with a .290 on-base percentage and 10 home runs, lost his third-base job and fallen out of shape to the point that he popped his belt while taking a big swing in an April game against the Toronto Blue Jays.Rock bottom came in early May, when well-known orthopedist Dr. James Andrews operated on Sandovals shoulder. The surgery ended a season in which Sandoval started only one of the Red Soxs first five games and went 0-for-6 with four strikeouts. But the lengthy recovery gave Sandoval time to take stock of how far he has fallen since catching the final out of the 2014 World Series. He came this stark reality: If he didnt change his ways, he was going to find himself out of the game at an age (he turned 30 in August) when he should still be in his prime.Things definitely happen for a reason, Sandoval said. [The surgery and rehab process] have helped revitalize that fire in me to win again.Throughout his career, Sandoval has struggled to stay in shape, gaining and losing weight with dramatic fluctuations. But since leaving the Giants, his weight gain greatly diminished his mobility and range at third base and contributing to a career-worst .658 OPS in 2015.Over the past few months, Sandoval has shed significant weight, according to Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski. Neither the team nor Sandoval has divulged specifics, but after principal owner John Henrys widely derided comment this past spring that Sandovals body fat was only 17 percent, the exact number is almost beside the point with two months left before spring training. The proof, for now, is in a picture that circulated on Twitter this week. Sandoval, standing in front of the batting cages at the Red Soxs spring training facility in Fort Myers, Florida, looks almost svelte.I have been following a really strict routine that has taken a lot of dedication from my part, Sandoval said. It has not been easy to wake up every single day at 6:30 in the morning to then head to the gym and start a full day of work. But you have to have that kind of dedication if you want to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.Sandoval recently moved to Fort Myers to be closer to the Red Soxs training facility. He works out each day with team trainers, and although neither Dombrowski nor manager John Farrell has traveled to Florida to personally check in on Sandoval, they receive regular reports from the staff there.Dombrowski and Farrell arent guaranteeing that Sandoval will be the Opening Day third baseman. But the Red Sox this week traded two alternatives -- Travis Shaw to the Milwaukee Brewers for eighth-inning reliever Tyler Thornburg and top prospect Yoan Moncada to the Chicago White Sox in the Chris Sale blockbuster -- and said that 20-year-old Rafael Devers is bound for Double-A.Save for a potential challenge from utility man Brock Holt, it will be Sandoval or bust at third base.I am not taking anything for granted, Sandoval said. I am here to work hard. Im not thinking about the position or not. I am starting from scratch, and I am here to show what I can do on the field. The Red Sox also have not replaced the middle-of-the-order production they got from retired franchise icon David Ortiz. Instead, they agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million contract with first baseman Mitch Moreland, who will play primarily against right-handed pitching.Asked how the Sox plan to balance out a lineup that leans heavily right-handed, Farrell brought up Sandoval. One of the keys for us is going to be Panda, Farrell said Monday, invoking Sandovals Kung Fu Panda nickname that was earned in San Francisco. Thats not to put it all on him, but heres a left-handed bat who is a proven guy and has every opportunity to make a major impact on our team this year.Sandoval made a faster-than-expected recovery from shoulder surgery. He said doctors cleared him to play in October, and he believes he would have been ready to rejoin the Red Sox if the team hadnt been swept in the American League Division Series by the Cleveland Indians. But Sandovals problems were more than physical. According to multiple people close to him, he dealt with several personal issues in 2015, including a dispute over his training program that caused him to leave longtime agent Gustavo Vasquez and stop speaking to his brother, Michael.Sandoval and his wife had a baby in May, an event that he said has inspired him to rebuild his career.Watching Baby Panda grow up and that he gets the opportunity to see his father play in the majors for seven, eight more years, to get back to the success I had, thats my motivation every day, Sandoval said. The people that I surround myself with now and my family, they are the key to my success. This has been a life lesson.Sandoval understands if Red Sox fans are skeptical. But Sandoval also saw first baseman Hanley Ramirez rebound this year with a 30-homer season after a miserable 2015 and believes he can have a renaissance of his own.I certainly get it. I understand all the frustration [fans] must have felt, and I cant hold any grudges, Sandoval said. I have no ill will about anything. Actually the opposite. It was another lesson for me. It fueled me. It gave me the courage to work harder every day so one day I can be a part of another Boston Red Sox championship.ESPN Deportes Marly Rivera contributed to this report. This should be celebrated because it will not always be this way. With the amount of money given to players by their clubs these days, it is a wonder that so many of those teams allow the sport to continue to take away many of their assets so they can play for a different team in the middle of their season. https://www.eaglessportsgoods.com/Womens-Miles-Sanders-Inverted-Jersey/ . -- James Young couldnt wait to apply those tweaks to his jump shot, and the first one he made against UT Arlington told him it could be a good night. HOUSTON -- Wake Forests 2015 season ended with a loss to Stanford, but the Demon Deacons arent focused on revenge entering the College Cup final Sunday. The reward of a national championship is enough for Wake Forest, as the Demon Deacons look to end Stanfords bid for a second straight national championship. We dont really care who we played. We know we can beat any team in the country, said Wake Forest forward Jon Bakero, who had a goal and an assist in Wake Forests double-overtime semifinal win over Denver on Friday.Stanford (14-3-5) beat Wake Forest 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinals last season on the way to the programs first national championship. While there are many players on each team that played in that game, the Stanford isnt expecting more of a challenge than normal from the Demon Deacons. Both teams have the chance to play for a national championship, Stanford head coach Jeremy Gunn said. Do you think anyone really cares what happened last year?Wake Forest coach Bobby Muuss agreed. It didnt matter if we were playing Stanford or (North) Carolina, Muuss said. Wake Forest has to worry about Wake Forest. While Wake Forest isnt putting any more stock into Sundays game because of its defeat last season to Stanford, the team doesnt deny the loss was a primary source of motivation throughout the season. Were a mature group, Bakero said. I think obviously when you lose a game like that last year, the whole spring, the whole summer, what were thinking about is getting back. Both teams went to overtime Friday night to reach the national championship game. Wake Forest scored in double overtime through midfielder Ian Harkes to advance past Denver, while Stanford reached the final through penalty kicks for the second straight season, beating North Carolina 10-9 in the shootout.Wake Forest has the nations second-best defense, allowing just 0.48 goals per game. Stanford, though, is yet to allow a goal through four tournament games.Stanford is a very well-balanced team and a confident group, Muuss said. We know we have a challenge in front of us.Some things to know about the Wake Forest-Stanford game.STANFORD USED TO THE BEST: As the reigning national champions, Stanford is used to getting its opponents best game. While the Cardinal got off to a shaky start this season with three ties and a loss in its first four games, it quickly became accustomed to each game beiing the biggest on its oppositions schedule. DeSean Jackson Jersey. On Sunday, that will be no different. It made the regular season the toughest because everyone would bring their A-game, Gunn said. Youve been through it.OPPOSING STYLES: Sundays final will feature a contrast in styles, with Wake Forest preferring a passing game to Stanfords preference to play more a direct, counter-attacking game. Muuss said his team is well aware of what to expect from Stanford, while Gunn thinks there may be more scoring opportunities than his teams semifinal game against North Carolina because each team has a unique attacking identity. Its quite simple, Gunn said. We have to figure out ways of shutting them down when theyre on the ball and then figure out ways of breaking them down.NOT AN IDEAL FIELD: The field at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston was replaced in the middle of the last MLS season, which means it is not yet in prime condition. Muuss said after Friday nights semifinal win that it was like playing on sand, and he believes the conditions may favor a team like Stanford more than the Demon Deacons. The Wake Forest coach said it took his team a half to adjust on Friday night, and he wants his team to be safe on Sunday, especially defensively. We just have to make sure were playing safer at the back, maybe an extra touch, Muuss said. We just dont want to have self-inflicting wounds.NO STAR TREATMENT: Last season, Stanfords star player was All-American Jordan Morris, who was named MLS Rookie of the Year this season for the Seattle Sounders. Stanford doesnt feature a big star this season, but Gunn pointed out the teams leading scorer Foster Langsdorf has more goals, 15, than Morris did last season.QUICK TURNAROUND: As reigning national champions, Stanford knows how to handle a championship weekend. After the national semifinal on Friday, teams in the championship only have one day to prepare for the final. Both teams downplayed the significance of a short preparation, with Muuss saying his players were going straight to a yoga session after Saturdays press conference. We know going into the weekend what it entails, so we make the necessary preparations, and guys get to recovering as fast as possible after the game, Stanford goalkeeper Nico Corti said. PAUL, Minn.Chelsea will look to salvage some pride from their season when they meet Tottenham on Monday Night Football, live on Sky Sports. Ahead of their clash, we look back to the Blues win against Spurs in February 1994, in one of the most entertaining encounters of the 1993/94 Premier League campaign.Although both teams finished in the bottom half - 14th and 15th respectively - the match still had all the drama and passion attached to a London derby. Spurs were 2-0 up within 18 minutes, thanks to goals from Steve Sedgley and Jason Dozzell. Chelseas first came from an unlikely scorer, when 36-year-old left-back Mal Donaghy found the net, before Mark Stein followed up with the equaliser and John Spencer smashed home a third before the half.  Chelsea drew 0-0 at White Hart Lane in this seasons return fixture The second half proved just as lively, as Chelsea conceded a penalty with just 20 minutes to go, with substitute Andy Gray drawing the away side level.
