Freddie Burns kicked 20 points as Leicester moved back into the Aviva Premiership top four with a comfortable 25-6 home win against Harlequins. Stephen Curry 1 Low Shoes. The former England fly-half did not miss a kick all afternoon, slotting five penalties, a drop goal and the conversion of the only try of the match by Owen Williams.Leicester, who made nine changes from the side that beat Newport Gwent Dragons in the Anglo Welsh Cup, were boosted by the return of former England hooker Tom Youngs and prop Ellis Genge, who had been released by England.Harlequins, fresh from their first away win, at Ospreys, had winger Marland Yarde back from England duty while full back Aaron Morris made his first Premiership start.Leicester led 9-6 at half-time thanks to three penalties from fly-half Burns to two from his opposite number Nick Evans. Both sides used the box kick and the high ball a lot but in between there was plenty of running rugby, but with both defences giving little away, there was hardly a chance worth talking about.Quins came closest when winger Alofa Alofa chipped through but the Tigers won the race to the ball, while Leicester had a great chance after a fabulous move in the 20th minute but they were thwarted by a professional foul from lock Charlie Matthews who somehow escaped a yellow card.Burns kicked penalties in the 17th, 20th and 35th minutes, while Evans replied with penalties in the 10th and 24th minutes.Leicester stretched their lead to six points five minutes after the interval when Burns slotted an easy penalty. It came after Leicester pinched the ball after a line out in the Quins 22 and huge forward pressure.Burns had a try disallowed from a quick tap penalty but made no mistake with the penalty and four minutes later he dropped a goal after more forwards pressure to make it 15-6.That became 22-6 in the 54th minute after a kick and chase earned the Tigers a penalty, which they kicked to the corner. From the line-out, Burns put in an exquisite chip over then defence and centre Owen Williams scored with Burns adding the conversion.Moments later Ed Slaters break created a try scoring opportunity in the corner but Burns knocked on near the line. With their pack now dominant Leicester got another penalty in the 63rd minute which Burns kicked. But the Tigers then lost full back Mathew Tait after a collision with Yarde, their replacement prop Marcos Ayerza, who was carried off with a leg injury, and Burns himself after a clash of heads. There was a long delay while the referee watched a replay of Tigers lock Mike Fitzgeralds tackle on James Chisholm. Both were binned, Fitzgerald for a tip tackle, Chisholm for retaliation. Curry 1 Shoes For Sale . The judges scored it 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 for Jones (19-1). It was the champions closest call. With Montana leading 78-75 with about two minutes left, Wyomings Alan Herndon took a pass from Adams and hit the game tying 3. Were now in the second week of the second season of the NFLs Thursday-night Color Rush program, which features teams wearing solid-colored uniforms. Custom Football Jerseys . The program has been promoted as an innovative approach to NFL uniform design, but heres the thing: NFL teams were wearing solid-colored unis long before the NFL and Nike dreamed up Color Rush -- in some cases more than 80 years before.Charting the NFLs early uniform history is tricky, because color photographs are rare and uniform fabrics often reacted differently to color dyes, so jerseys and pants often didnt match even if they were supposed to match. But according to the Gridiron Uniform Database, the definitive guide to pro football uniform history, one of the first NFL teams to wear a mono-colored uniform was the 1933 Cincinnati Reds, an early franchise that only lasted one and a half seasons before being suspended for failure to pay league dues.Since then, a surprising number of NFL teams have gone mono-colored at least once. Some, like the Reds, are now-forgotten teams from the leagues early ragtag era. But others are franchises that are still with us today. Heres a selective timeline of some key dates in solid-colored-uniform history. It doesnt show every single mono-colored uni in NFL history, but it gives a good sense of how the phenomenon has evolved over the years:1935: The Brooklyn Dodgers (yes, that was the name of an NFL franchise from 1930 through 1943) and Green Bay Packers (yes, those same Green Bay Packers) wear solid-green uniforms. The Dodgers wear them again the following year, while the Packers mono-green look turns out to be a one-season thing -- for now.1940-42: The Steelers include solid-yellow uniforms as part of their wardrobe for three seasons.1946: The Boston Yanks -- another short-lived team, with a now-unthinkable name -- wear solid-yellow uniforms for one season.1950: With new Packers coach Gene Ronzani declaring, We are the Green Bay Packers, the team dons solid-green uniforms for the first time since 1935. The greens are worn for one season, then retired, then revived in 1953, and then mothballed yet again. (Meanwhile, the Browns, who have been folded into the NFL after playing for four seasons in the rival All-America Football Conference, wear something no NFL team has previously tried: a solid-white uniform.) 1964: Due to a miscommunication prior to a 1964 Lions-Vikings game, both teams take the field wearing white jerseys, which creates problems. So the Vikings, who are the home team, send an employee to fetch the teams purple jerseys. The game is briefly stopped while the players change jerseys on the sidelines, creating the NFLs first solid-purple uniform.1965-1996: The mono-colored look, which was always on the fringes of NFL popularity, falls out of favor completely, as the league settles into the protocol of wearing non-matching jerseys and pants (the occasional solid-white uniform notwithstanding).1997: After an absence of more than three decades, mono-colored uniforms return to the NFL, as the Broncos wear mono-blue twice during the preseason and then the Eagles go with solid green for a regular-season game against the 49ers. The Earth wobbles slightly on its axis, then recovers and continues spinning.2001: After three seasons with no solid-colored uniforms, another crack in the dam appears, as the Saints wear mono-black for two games, becoming the first team in the Super Bowl era to wear a monochromatic uniform more than once in the same season. It is a hint of things to come.2002: The floodgates open, as nine teams wear solid-colored uniforms. Some, like the Seahawks and Bills, adopt the mono-color style as their primary look; others, like the Bears and Dolphins, just dabble with it as a onetime experiment. Collectively, though, the message is clear: The solid-colored NFL uniform has arrived. In the 13 seasons since then, an additional 13 NFL teams have dipped their toes in the solid-colored pool for the first time. So by the time the Color Rush program debuted last fall, mono-colored uniforms werent exactly a new concept. By Uni Watchs count, 26 of the 32 NFL teams had already gone mono at least once by that time, and 24 had done so in the Super Bowl era. When viewed in that context, the Color Rush program isnt really so innovative -- its just the latest spin on an established trend.(Special thanks to Phil Hecken, Chance Michaels, and the Gridiron Uniform Database for their research assistance.)Would you like to nominate a uniform or uni element to be showcased in a future Friday Flashback installment? DALLAS -- For the first time this season, Dallas Stars coach Lindy Ruff started Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin on a line centered by Jason Spezza. Cheap Boston Red Sox Jerseys China .They came up big against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.Benn scored his 200th career goal and added two assists, Spezza also had a goal and two assists, and Seguin added a goal and an assist to lead the Stars to a 5-2 win over the Predators. Its been no secret around here that our top players havent been our top players, Benn said. Its something we take personally, and weve got to be better, and we all know it.Benn wasnt impressed by his milestone goal, focusing on the win instead. It felt like any other goal, he said. Its not really a big deal to me. Its much better to get two points and get a win.Spezzas goal was his first in 13 games, and Benn hadnt scored in his previous four. Seguin has three goals in the last four games. The new line could be together for a while.Ill keep anything together that works, Ruff said. Its good to see all those guys get a goal.Antoine Roussel had a goal and assist and Brett Ritche also scored for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen stopped 33 shots, including all 21 in the second period.(Lehtonen) didnt have a lot of action but what he really did well was he fought through traffic to find some pucks, Ruff said. Really well, especially second period.Viktor Arvidsson and Calle Jarnkrok scored for Nashville. Pekka Rinne came in with a 2.23 goals-against average, but gave up four goals on 18 shots in 25:47 before leaving early in the second period. Marek Mazanec came on and stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced.Predators coach Peter Laviolette was brief in his postgame comments, saying: Well, they showed up to play and we were a no-show. Frustrating. Thank you.Dallas extended a 2-1 lead to 5-1 on second-period goals by Spezza, Roussel and Seguin. Before that, Benn and Ritchie had scored 23 seconds apart midway through the first to put Dallas up 2-0.Spezza passed from the right boards past Seguin to Benn for a shot from the slot at 9.55. Ritchie scored at 10:18 when his shot went through Rinne and barely crossed the goal line.Arvidssons short-handed goal with 3:57 left in the first came after Dallas John Klingberg broke his stick on an attempted slap shot from the blue line. Austin Watson took the puck and passed ahead to Arvidsson. He shot past the stickless Klingberg, and the puck went in off Lehtonens glove. The Stars outshot Nashville 15-6 in the first period. The shots turned around in the second -- the Predators had a 21-13 edge -- but the Stars scored all three goals in the period.Spezza skated from the left boards past a defender and Rinne to put the puck into the right corner of the net at 3:27.Roussel came out of the penalty box for a 2-on-1 break with Lauri Korpikoski, who passed from the goal line back to Roussel in front for a shot into the upper left of the net at 5:47.Laviolette successfully challenged an apparent goal by Dallas Radek Faksa because of goaltender interference. Sixteen seconds later, Seguin took a pass from Benn in the left circle and one-timed the puck past Mazanec.Game notes Benn, Spezza and Seguin started on the same line for the first time this season. ... Spezza has seven goals and four assists in his last nine games against the Predators. His goal was his first in his last 13 games overall. ... Nashvilles short-handed goal was the fifth Dallas has allowed this season, tied for second-most in the NHL. ... The Predators James Neal had scored a goal in each of his previous three games. ... Dallas has won two of three from Nashville this season. Spezza scored a goal in each of the wins. ... It was the first time in 17 games dating back to Oct. 26 that Rinne was pulled for ineffectiveness.UP NEXTPredators: At Arizona on Saturday to complete a two-game trip. ARLINGTON, Texas -- The patriarch of one of Americas great sports families, Calvin Hill, was standing outside the Dallas Cowboys locker room shaking his head in wonderment. He was comparing the rookie quarterback Dak Prescott to the 1971 version of Hills old teammate, Roger Staubach, who won a Super Bowl that season?after taking over as Tom Landrys guy.Roger was 29, said Hill, a four-time Pro Bowl running back, and this kid is 23. Roger wasnt ready to play continually in his first year [in 1969]. Dak? Im amazed at this young guy, amazed at his presence in the pocket.Amazed at Prescotts ability to make something out of nothing against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, when the quarterback spun left out of trouble in overtime and found a wide open Jason Witten in the end zone for the Cowboys sixth consecutive victory.Dak reminds me of Roger in terms of being able to extend the play, Hill said, but he also reminds me some of [Tom] Brady in how he manages the game. I dont think Dak managed it well tonight, but [Jim] Schwartz is a really good defensive coordinator for Philadelphia. That front put so much pressure on Dak and yet he never lost his composure. For a change, Prescott didnt play a clean ballgame. He made some throws against Philly that, frankly, looked like fourth-round throws. But this is good news for Dallas, and maybe even better news for the NFL. The Cowboys won even when Prescott walked into AT&T Stadium with his B-minus game, which means the Cowboys are for real as a Super Bowl contender. And when the Dallas Cowboys are in the championship mix, the league benefits in a big way.Its like the Yankees, Hill said. Theres so much passion around the country for and against them. The Cowboys are back, we have two young stars in Dak and Ezekiel Elliott, and thats good for the National Football League.Of course Hill is biased. He put together back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in the franchises Americas Team era, and he works as a Cowboys consultant in player development. But as the father of Grant, a two-time national basketball champ at Duke who lost his near-certain place among the NBAs all-time greats to injury, Hill knows a thing or three about winners, and how much sports needs marquee programs like the Blue Devils, the Yankees, and the Cowboys.Hill was a student at Yale in the 60s?when the Cowboys first started to win, when he would join his classmates in front of a frat house TV to watch Don Meredith and Bob Hayes. Looking for Bullet Bob to catch a bomb, Hill said. Those were the days, my friend. Into the 70s, football fans up and down the Eastern Seaboard would wait breathlessly for lesser 1 p.m. games to end to watch the Dallas Cowboys in the 4 p.m. national game or, better yet, the marquee game on Monday night. Now youve got NFL games on all the time, Hill said through a sigh. Thursday night, Sunday, Sunday night, Monday night, and sometimes you have teams in these night games that nobody really follows except their own fanns. Cheap Cincinnati Reds Jerseys China. . We used to have national teams. The Redskins of George Allen and Joe Gibbs. Landrys Cowboys. Its been a long time for the Cowboys, but having a national team back is good for the sport. The sport needs it now like never before. Ratings are down and uninspiring play is up. Peyton Manning has left the building, Aaron Rodgers isnt winning big, Russell Wilson isnt running, and Cam Newton and Andrew Luck are losing. Brady and the New England Patriots could use a little help, you know. They cant carry this business on their shoulder pads forever. The Cowboys are arriving in the nick of time. They havent won the big one in two decades; in fact, theyve only won three playoff games in that period. But now they have a monster offensive line and a rookie running back, Elliott, who summons the memories of the signature Dallas backs before him, the likes of Hill, Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith. They have Dez Bryant, who returned from injury Sunday night to catch the tying 22-yard touchdown pass from Prescott late in the fourth quarter and to finish with 113 big-play yards on four catches. They have old man Witten, who wasnt a factor against the Eagles until he needed to be in overtime. They have the 135th player chosen in Aprils draft, Prescott, who did enough to beat the No. 2 player chosen in the draft, Carson Wentz. Prescott was smacked around by Philly before he reminded everyone why he should keep Tony Romo on the bench even when Romos healthy enough to play.In a recent conversation with ESPN The Magazine, the Dallas coach who started Romo in 2006, Bill Parcells, described the calls for Prescott to become the permanent starter a rush to judgment. The Hall of Fame coach explained that a half-dozen games represented a painfully small sample size, and that Prescott first needed to stare down a late deficit, some real adversity. He hasnt thrown four interceptions yet, Parcells said, and then had the press and the fans getting restless and the players looking at him sideways, and maybe his nose is broken too. Thats when you find out about a quarterback.Prescott survived his brutal end-zone interception near the end of the first half, and needed a 30-yard run by Chris Jones, the Dallas punter, of all people, to get through the night. But the great ones -- or the great ones-to-be -- find ways to score more points than the other guys one way or another. When this 29-23 victory was complete, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called it one of the best wins Ive ever been a part of and declared Prescott the starter for the next game against Cleveland.I know that Romo can make chicken salad out of chicken whatever, Jones said, but so can Dak.Calvin Hill, always cutting a dignified figure, put it like this:I think were learning how to win.The Dallas Cowboys are back in business, which is always good for the business of the NFL. ARLINGTON, Texas -- Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals fell flat in their quarterbacks pseudo homecoming to Texas. Swell Flaske Nettbutikk .Now he has to face New England in Tom Bradys first home game since the Deflategate suspension with the Bengals under .500 five games into the season a year after they started 8-0.Anytime you lose, youre going to look into the mirror, Dalton said after throwing a pair of too-little-too-late touchdown passes in a 28-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Weve got the potential to do some really good things, and weve got to play to that potential. The Bengals (2-3) trailed 28-0 after Ezekiel Elliotts 60-yard touchdown run on Dallas first offensive play of the second half.Dalton, the former TCU player who grew up in Houston, was sacked four times, and Cincinnati gave up a season-high 180 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. That included one for Elliotts fellow rookie, quarterback Dak Prescott.Cincinnati, a playoff qualifier five straight years, was coming off its best defensive game of the season in a 22-7 win over Miami. With Prescott completing 75 percent of his passes while getting sacked just once, the Bengals will have to be better against Brady.Theres so much season left, theres so many runs you make in this game, tackle Andrew Whitworth said. If we end the way we started last year, then this doesnt really mean that much.Things to consider after the Cowboys (4-1) won their fourth straight with Prescott filling in for the injured Tony Romo:PROTECTING DALTON: The run game wasnt much of a factor for the Bengals since they trailed 21-0 in the second quarter. But the protection of Dalton was a problem. Besides four sacks, Dalton was hurried nine times while going 29 of 41 for 269 yards with two touchdowns to Brandon LaFell . He didnt panic, coach Marvin Lewis said. He just kept playing, which was good to see.CHASING BRADY: Prescotts rookie record of 155 pass attempts without an interception to start a career is now eight throws shy of breaking Bradys overall NFL mark. He had his first turnover on a lost fumble, but he helped guarantee a winning record for Dallas going into the Oct. 30 game against Philadelphia. Thats when Romo could return, after a bye following next weeks visit to Green Bay.If I dont break it, Im sure someone else will, the 23-year-old Prescott said. Its not anything I think about going into the game. Ill allow yall to have fun with those things.LOSING GROUND: The Bengals trail the Steelers by two games in the AFC North, with Pittsburgh visiting one-win Miami while Cincinnati goes to New England. You have to have them all, Dalton said. Thats what the schedule is, and were just going to find a way to win next week.STANDOUT ROOKIES: The game against the Packers could be the last for Elliott and Prescott together for a while, if Romo stays healthy. If so, they left a mark. Elliott had his third straight 100-yard game, a first for a Dallas rookie. He and Prescott, who won the last two while also missing star receiver Dez Bryant, are the first rookies in NFL history to have at least 500 yards rushing and 1,000 yards passing in the first five games.SPEAKING OF PRESCOTT: Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones will keep getting the question. Do the Cowboys stick with Prescott even when Romo is ready if the winning continues? I will tell you this is a wonderful position, if youre in my shoes, to be in, Jones said. Romo, who broke a bone in his back in a preseason game, is set for another MRI on Monday. Jones believes it will show the bone has healed.---Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFL---Follow Schuyler Dixon on Twitter at https://twitter.com/apschuyler Swell Flaske Marmor . -- Running backs Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings were back at practice for the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday despite being hampered by hamstring injuries. Swell Traveler Norge .C. -- Chris Thorburn thinks one of the reasons the Winnipeg Jets have been successful under new coach Paul Maurice is that theyre playing together as a team. http://www.swellflaskenorge.com/ . -- Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson asked his players a simple question during Fridays morning shootaround: How many of them had ever been on a team 14 games over .Real Madrid are in a mess and manager Zinedine Zidane must start planning for next season, according to Terry Gibson. The Galacticos were beaten at the Bernabeu by Atletico in the Madrid derby on Saturday afternoon, with Antoine Griezmanns second-half strike sealing a win for the visitors.Speaking to the La Liga Weekly podcast, the Sky Sports Spanish football expert was critical of Reals recent performances and praised the way Diego Simeones side executed their game-plan.  To be 12 points behind in the league at this stage signifies that we are currently seeing a Real Madrid team that are a real mess at the moment - and thats the opinion throughout the Spanish press. Of course, we know where that starts and it starts from the top, Gibson said. There are a lot of issues to be sorted out for Real Madrid, not just to be competitive because they should be challenging for the Champions League. Were jumping the gun a bit there because they could still win it and while I dont think they are good enough this season, worse teams than Real Madrid have won the Champions League so theyve still got a chance. But there was a game plan from Atletico on Saturday and there wasnt one from Real Madrid. Simeone summed it up afterwards by saying we won by playing like Atletico Madrid. Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal as Atletico Madrid ran out 1-0 winners over their city rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu There where clever bits when they knew to drop off and allow Real Madrid possession, knowing when to press high and they knew they had to stop Luca Modric. They also came up with the idea of playing Griezmann in the line between midfield and attack, with Fernando Torres leading the attack. From Real Madrids perspective, they failed to pick up Griezmann and they didnt get Modric involved in the game. There was a lot of shuffling the ball about from player A to player B at too slow of aa tempo and it played into the hands of their opponents. Swell Traveler Mug. Atletico made history with their derby victory - becoming the first side in La Liga to win three consecutive games at the Bernabeu - and Gibson believes the experience of the respective managers had an impact. It was almost the master against the apprentice. A top manager who has 11 years under his belt - and some really successful ones - who knows his trade against a manager whos in his ninth game. That was quite clear to see. Weve said it all season that we arent going to see what Zidane is made of until he can put his stamp on the team and theres going to be a whole load of questions that come with that. Ronaldo hasnt been good enough Guillem Balague gives his thoughts on the weekends La Liga action in his latest column At the moment, its a question of Zidane learning his trade as quickly as he can in difficult circumstances and in the glare of the spotlight. The criticism has been savage on the players and Florentino Perez, but Zidane has mostly escaped that.In the past, it was Rafa Benitez but now the supporters and the press are firmly on the case of players like James Rodriguez, Isco and Toni Kroos. The Sky Sports expert added Zidane has a responsibility to start planning for next season with the players he has - and identify the ones who could be sold. The bulk of the squad is there to start planning for next season and I think it is his responsibility. Im estimating that we might see half a dozen big signings but four or five starting regularly, Gibson said. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane needs to start preparing his side for next season says, says Gibson If youre working on that basis then we might see three to five new players starting for Real Madrid next year, I think Zidane has got enough to work with this season in the La Liga games that are left to try the style of play and formation he wants. If that means leaving out players who he thinks are going to be moved on, then thats a clear indication to the player that its probably in their best interests to start looking elsewhere. There arent going to be too many of these players who are going to want to leave Real Madrid, so its going to have to be Zidanes decision. (STATS) -- Theres something that cant be overlooked as North Dakota State seeks to keep its FCS dynasty going this season:All of the pressure is on the Bison. The FCS Kickoff provided a reminder Saturday night. The five-time defending FCS champions won the third annual season-opening game, but it was a struggle before the top-ranked Bison edged No. 7 Charleston Southern 24-17 in overtime before a sellout 18,881 at the Fargodome.Senior running back King Frazier scored on a 25-yard touchdown run on the first play of the extra session to provide the difference in NDSUs 43rd straight win over a non-conference opponent. Were a resilient bunch of guys, coach Chris Klieman said on ESPN afterward. Weve been in these positions an awful lot. First time for this team in 2016, so were gonna learn a lot.Just like a year ago when Montana won the FCS Kickoff with a last-second win over North Dakota State, the seasons first game was a dandy. Charleston Southern (0-1), a prohibitive underdog, could play a little more loosely than the Bison (1-0) while the two teams traded scores. They were scoreless after the first quarter, tied 3-3 at halftime, deadlocked 10-10 through three quarters and tied again 17-17 after four quarters.Charleston Southern nearly won the game in the final minute of the fourth quarter. Cornerback Troy McGowens 30-yard interception return to the NDSU 40 set up Jacob Smoak for a 51-yard field goal attempt, but his kick was slightly wide left as time expired. In overtime, Frazier (11 carries, 79 yards) bounced around right end and raced along the sideline before scoring his winning touchdown. Charleston Southern gained only one yard on its possession, including three incomplete passes.North Dakota State played much of the second half and then overtime without star middle linebacker Nick DeLuca, who suffered a shoulder injury.Hey, give credit where credits due, Klieman said. Charleston Southern is a really good football team. They gave us their best shot. I credit our guys; they found a way. While NDSU (1-0) is an incredible 72-5 since the staart of its national title run in 2011 -- thats 10 more wins than Alabamas second-best total in Division I -- the Missouri Valley Conference powers first-ever meeting against Charleston Southern was tougher than expected. Cheap Tottenham Hotspur Jerseys China. Kyle Copelands 16-yard pass to Kameron Brown on 4th-and-10 kept a drive alive at the NDSU 13 before Holloway went 6 yards up the middle to make it 17-17 with 2:59 left.Holloway (10 carries, 126 yards) had scored on a 47-yard run on the opening drive of the second half, giving Charleston Southern a 10-3 advantage. But wide receiver Darrius Shepherds 23-yard over-the-shoulder touchdown pass from Stick on NDSUs next drive tied the game again.Stick, whos won all nine of his career starts, finished 17 of 27 for 194 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. We always say, its hard to get wins in college football with the schedule we play, he said. Were going to enjoy these 24 hours. Both teams managed only a field goal in the first half. Charleston Southern turned a fumble recovery by middle linebacker Zane Cruz in NDSU territory into Jacob Smoaks 46-yard field goal with 10:42 left in the second quarter. The Bison evened the game 3-3 on the final play of the half as Cam Pedersen bounced a career-long 52-yard field goal off and over the crossbar.North Dakota State has a bye next week before hosting Eastern Washington on Sept. 10. Max Verstappen suggested Sebastian Vettel should go back to school to learn some nicer language after the Germans radio meltdown in the closing stages of the Mexican Grand Prix. Curry 6 Wholesale .Vettel caught up with Verstappen in the closing stages of the race, forcing the Red Bull driver into a mistake across the grass at Turn 1 with three laps to go. However, immediately after that, Verstappen refused to give up the position, despite being advised to by Red Bull, prompting an expletive-laden rant from Vettel.Verstappen said Vettels recent demeanour on radio has been ridiculous and, despite being the youngest driver on the grid, suggested the Ferrari driver seek out some language classes.?I dont know how often hes using very bad language in general but I think he has to go back to school or something to get some better language, Vettel said. I will speak to him because its ridiculous the way hes handling it. Hes always so frustrated, the whole weekend hes just shouting on the radio. Hes just a frustrated guy at the moment.Verstappen refusing to yield position meant his Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo closed up to Vettel, with the pair nearly colliding at Turn 4 as the Ferrari driver appeared to move under braking to defend fourth position. Verstappen questioned why he was penalised when race leader Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg went wide at Turn 1 at the start and were not.I think its pretty similar to what happened in lap one, corner one, Lewis went off and gained a massive advantage. Nico also went off at Turn 1 when we touched, he also gained an advantage.[With Seb] I didnt even gain an advantage, I was still ahead under braking, when I came back on track I was same length in front, so I think its ridiculous Stephen Curry 4 Shoes For Sale . CHASKA, Minn. -- Patrick Reed walked into a USA team meeting this week and told his captain, Davis Love III, as well as everyone else in the room, that he would be playing in five matches at the Ryder Cup. Also,?Jordan Spieth was going to be his teammate, he added.Every time.It wasnt a request. It was a statement.Reed is many things -- confident, passionate, stubborn -- but when it comes to the Ryder Cup, he is something that seems even more important. He is fearless. He has an unapologetic patriotic swagger and relishes playing for his country, maybe as much as any American golfer since Payne Stewart. If the United States was going to win back the Ryder Cup, Reed wanted to put the team on his back, and Spieths back, and get it done.Love, as much as he appreciated the fire, couldnt promise anything right away. He knew Reed was going to be a huge part of his team, but he also wanted to be flexible, to have options. Love had spreadsheets and vice captains and his own intuition to take into consideration. He had spent a year preparing for this, going over every scenario, and he wanted to make sure he got it right. He paired Reed and Speith together the first three sessions of the Ryder Cup, but after a win, a loss and a halve, Love was leaning toward sitting the two of them during Saturday afternoon four-ball. He wanted to give everyone on his team a chance to play, and that meant every pairing had to sit at least once. He took it to his vice captains. Over radios and text messages and phone calls, they had an intense debate. Even Loves son, who is driving the cart for his dad this week, threw out a suggestion. The clock was ticking. Love admitted, later, he was nervous. He felt a little panicky about the decision. Finally he turned to Tiger Woods. Are we playing [Reed and Spieth] or are we sitting them? Love asked. You have to send them back out there, Woods said.Love took Woods advice, and every American golf fan should be grateful for it. It might, in fact, go down as one of the most important decisions Team USA has made at the Ryder Cup in two decades.Reed, who might be the best American Ryder Cup player to emerge in the last 20 years, played with so much passion and precision during Saturday four-ball, he barely needed Spieths help to defeat Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson?in a?volatile match that gave the United States a 9 ?-6? lead going into Sunday singles.Reed was such a raucous ball of patriotic energy -- firing at pins, rolling in putts, flexing and howling for the huge gallery of American fans at Hazeltine -- it was almost surreal at times. During one stretch on the front 9, he played six holes (No. 3 through No. 8) in 6-under par. When he holed out from the fairway on No. 6 for eagle, he looked like a fullback who had just broken three tackles and run over a safety to score a touchdown. He pumped his fists, chest-bumped Spieth, high-fived both U.S. caddies, and over and over again, he shouted his barbaric yawp across the fairways of the world.Weve all seen it before, Spieth said. Hes Captain America for us. It was really, really fun to be a part of. A show was put on by Patrick Reed today.Reed and Spieth took a 3-up lead through nine holes, an advantage similar to the one they frittered away in the morning matches when Sergio Garcia and Rafa Cabrera Bello stormed back on them to steal half a point in foursomes. But this time, the European rally, which included a birdie by Rose plus a birdie and an eagle by Stenson, wasnt enough to overcome Reed.We kind of ran into a one-man wolf pack, Rose said. He was unbelievable. He punished us every time he had a wedge in his hand. He might have been around 10 under on his own ball. He obviously loves the atmosphere out here, and he loves fanning the fire.Any other golfer (with the possible exception of Ian Poulter or Rory McIlroy), and it wouldnt have worked. Eventually, all that emotion would have boiled over and been impossible to control. But RReeds personality is such a perfect fit for this event, even if he never wins a major championship, hes likely to be an American fan favorite for the next decade or more. Swell Bottles Australia. He is exactly what the United States has been lacking in the Ryder Cup, someone who not only embraces the moment, but plays great under pressure.By the end of the match, American fans were chanting his name on every green, and he was twirling his putter, bobbing his head, grinning and pointing back as he soaked up the appreciation. I love it when the crowds get the U-S-A chants going, Reed said. I just feed off it. I knew we had to do something special today to win this afternoon match.Reed was such a powder keg of emotion, it grew increasingly difficult to keep the partisan crowd under control throughout the afternoon. Rose and Stenson were cursed at repeatedly by rowdy American fans, and Rose actually walked over to confront one who yelled at him, while Stenson was pulling his putter back on a crucial birdie attempt. The Europeans didnt want to dwell on it, and initially were reluctant to talk about it, but both Rose and Stenson were clearly frustrated with some of what they had to put up with. Its the minority of fans, and you dont want to focus on it because thats what they want, Rose said. But there isnt a lot of crowd support from the players point of view. But you know what? If you put 60,000 people in here, its going to be fun, its going to be intense. Its patriotic, and that brings out the best and worst in people. They just have to be careful about the future of this event.Spieth, to his credit, repeatedly tried to implore American fans to stop making noise during Team Europes backswings. Several times throughout the match, he attempted to quiet the idiots in the crowd who thought it would be fun to heckle during Stensons and Roses pre-shot routines, but it was a double-edged sword because then Reed and Spieth were put on the clock by the rules official for taking too much time.Obviously we love being on home turf, but there was some stuff that was said from the crowd that we felt like was a bit much, Spieth said. We just wanted to be able to all play. We wanted to beat them when they were at their best. We didnt want anything else taking over.In the end, though, it was Reed who took over. He made birdies on 14 and 15 to put the United States 3-up with three holes to play. He then birdied the 16th after a monster 4-wood from the middle of the fairway, a shot that was so beautifully struck it almost didnt matter that Stenson stole the hole minutes later with a chip-in eagle. Spieths and Reeds celebration in the middle of the 16th fairway sent the crowd into a frenzy unlike any the Ryder Cup has seen so far.Its the most amount of people that either one of us have ever seen on a golf hole, Spieth said. Before [the ball] reached its apex, we were both screaming. Thats how cool it was. I screamed Lets go, Patrick! That hole was so cool walking up and just hearing the fans. He was getting everything he deserved for what he did against, historically, the best team theyve had.The Ryder Cup isnt over yet, of course. Reed, after all that, now faces his toughest challenge of the week, a singles match against McIlroy. They are the first match of the day and could set a tone for what unfolds. There will be roars and jeers and fist pumps flying. Normally, youd give the edge to McIlroy, the man who has, in recent months, clearly made the case that he is still the worlds best player. But this is the Ryder Cup, and this is match play. Its a different animal than stroke play. Love didnt hesitate when filling out his pairings. He knew McIlroy was likely to go out first for Europe, and so he penciled in the name of the one man who just might be fearless and arrogant enough to dethrone the king. ' ' '
WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Jay Beagle was rewarded for not giving up on Tuesday night. Cheap Nike Dunks .The veteran Washington forward scored with 30 seconds left in the third period to lift the Capitals to a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets for their third straight win.Beagle scored the winning goal off a draw in the Winnipeg zone.I won the draw back and (defenseman John Carlson) whiffs on it, said Beagle, who had two assists in a weekend win over Calgary. I tried to whack at it and it hopped over my stick. I was pushing laterally and just tried to slide it through and it went in. It was one of those goals where if you keep whacking at it, eventually it goes in.Braden Holtby made 43 saves, Marcus Johansson had a goal and an assist, and Karl Alzner also scored for Washington, which has won six of nine this season (6-2-1). Evgeny Kuznetsov had two assists in the finale of the Capitals four-game trip to Canada.Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry scored for the Jets, and Connor Hellebuyck finished with 24 saves. We played well tonight, Jets captain Blake Wheeler said. But we battled it out. Sometimes theyre not pretty. With the Capitals leading 2-0, Scheifele got the Jets on the scoreboard with his fifth of the season with just under 7 minutes remaining. With the teams playing 4-on-4, Scheifele took a rebound and fired a shot through a narrow opening between Holtby and the postfor his team-leading ninth point of the season.Lowry tied it with about 2 1/2 minutes to go with his first of the season. Winnipeg winger Joel Armia fought for the puck off the boards and passed it to Lowry, who went in front of Holtby and waited until he was sprawled on the ice to fire the puck into the net.Obviously, were happy we came back in it, but at the end of the day we still didnt finish it off, Scheifele said. I think there are a lot of guys that are happy with the way that we played. We played good throughout the whole game. Putting up over 45 shots or whatever we had against a team like that is big for us. Its definitely tough to lose a game when you come back like that.Alzner scored his second goal of the season with 44 seconds left in the first period. His shot from the point appeared to change direction through traffic and went over Hellebuycks glove. It gave the Capitals the first goal for the eighth time in nine games this season.Winnipeg forward Shawn Matthias suffered a lower-body injury in the first period and didnt return.Johansson made it 2-0 at 8:15 of the second after a Jets turnover in the neutral zone. Kuznetsov got the puck and went behind the net before feeding a pass to Johansson, whose shot from close in front went under Hellebuyck.I gave it to (Kuznetsov) and he pretty much did everything and he gave it right back to me in front of the net, Johannson said. I got lucky it went in. I mean, (the puck) was laying on top of (Hellebuycks) pad. I kind of missed a half-open net at first, but sometimes its just going your way a little bit.
