Cronulla want to make young guns Valentine Holmes and Jack Bird one-club players on the back of the Sharks historic NRL premiership win. Paul Coffey Jersey .The Sharks have the bulk of their 25-man roster coming off contract at the end of 2017 with Holmes and Bird leading a list of 16 players whose deals are set to expire.Rival clubs will be able to begin negotiating with Bird and Holmes on November 1 this year however coach Shane Flanagan said he hoped to have them signed and sealed before pre-season training begins in December.Birdy and Val will be done in the off-season, Flanagan said.Theyre not a problem. Theyre both committed to the club, theyre not going anywhere so I dont see an issue with that especially on the back of this (grand final win). With Michael Ennis having hung up his boots after Sundays win over Melbourne, Paul Gallen set to retire next year and the careers of Luke Lewis and Chris Heighington winding down, Bird and Holmes are seen as the future of the club.Bird, 21, this year earned his first NSW State of Origin jersey and is in the frame to have his name read out when Mal Meninga announces his Australian side for the Four Nations on Tuesday.Holmes was a standout in the grand final, coming up with some important carries to get his side out of trouble, making 165m from 16 touches.Theyre key players for us, Flanagan said of Bird and Holmes. They both love the club, hopefully theyll be one-club players. I know Birdy has been somewhere else (St George Illawarra), but hopefully theyll be one-club players in the first grade-sense.FEEDING FRENZY* Cronulla players off-contract at the end of 2017Ben Barba, Gerard Beale, Jack Bird, Jayden Brailey, Nu Brown, Kurt Capewell, Manaia Cherrington, Sosaia Feki, Paul Gallen, Wade Graham, Valentine Holmes, Ricky Leutele, Joseph Paulo, Matt Prior, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Chad Townsend. Joe Mullen Jersey . With the short-handed Warriors needing help from someone -- anyone -- to stop a three-game skid, ONeal returned from right knee and groin injuries that had sidelined him for four games and put up season highs with 18 points and eight rebounds. It was just enough to help lift Golden State to a 102-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Roberto Romano Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. https://www.cheappenguinsjersey.com/1601q-bryan-trottier-jersey-penguins.html .Y. -- Sabres forward Drew Stafford has witnessed plenty of turmoil during his eight seasons in Buffalo. Their record without him is poor but North Queensland dont feel any pressure to rush captain Johnathan Thurston back from injury. The NRL premiers top-four hopes took a hit last Saturday with a 16-8 loss to Melbourne at Townsville - their first loss at home this year.Thurston missed the match due to a slight hamstring strain, continuing the Cowboys struggles without their inspirational leader.Since 2005 the Cowboys have won just 13 of 45 matches without Thurston - a winning percentage of just 28.8.Fullback Lachlan Coote admits the Cowboys miss Thurston but doesnt think the risk of worsening his injury by rushing him back for Sundays clash with in-form Wests Tigers.Itd be good to have him back but hes got to get that hamstring right, Coote said.Youve got to get that injury right, especiallly coming towards the back end of the season and that run into the finals, its a crucial time. Ulf Samuelsson Jersey. One of those 13 wins for the Cowboys without Thurston came against the Tigers in round 11 last year.Thurston was on State of Origin duty with Queensland as the Cowboys won 8-0 with Coote picking up a career-high 509 kicking metres in the star playmakers absence.Coote says the performance against the Storm wasnt too bad but the Cowboys just need to make the most of their chances. Our attack was there, we created some good opportunities, just that final execution, he said. The main thing weve got to take out of that is that our last play needs to improve. ' ' '

ALLEN PARK, Mich. Cheap Jerseys From China . -- Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell believes he absolutely got a fair shake from the Indianapolis Colts when he was fired after three seasons in January 2012.This comes as Caldwell prepares to take the Lions to Indianapolis on Sunday to face the Colts -- the first time hell coach a game inside Lucas Oil Stadium since he was let go after the 2011 season.Ill just tell you this and I think you know me from all these years that I believe that this is a game where you have to win football games, Caldwell said. You dont win football games, youre subject to be fired. Ive always believed that and not only that, you have a right to be. Ive always believed that and never will change in that regard. Dont back away from it. Thats the nature of our business. Since I started coaching years ago, I always believed that to be the case so we got to do our part.Caldwell spent 10 seasons in Indianapolis with Peyton Manning. He was Mannings quarterbacks coach and the Colts assistant head coach. He was elevated to head coach after Tony Dungy retired following the 2008 season. Caldwell led the Colts to a Super Bowl appearance in his first season, losing to the New Orleans Saints. The Colts won the AFC South again in 2010 and lost in the wild-card round to the Jets. In Caldwells third season, Indianapolis went 2-14 with Manning missing the entire season with a neck injury. Owner Jim Irsay cleaned house after the season, firing Bill Polian and then Caldwell. Caldwell finished his three seasons in Indianapolis with a 26-22 record and a 2-2 record in the playoffs.Positioned with the first pick in the 2012 draft, the Colts then took the quarterback who will face Caldwell on Sunday -- Andrew Luck. Caldwell, from afar, is impressed with Luck. What I know about what we scouted him when he was coming out, hes a third-story intellectual, Caldwell said. Hes big, strong, fast and he can throw the ball extremely well, make all the throws. Thats what I know about him from that standpoint. Cheap Stitched NFL Jerseys . -- Nate Robinson has played for seven teams, so beating one of them is no longer a rare occurrence. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Authentic http://www.cheapwholesalejerseyschina.com/ . If Kevin Ollie can find a silver lining in Friday nights opening loss to Wagner, its that his young team may well have learned a valuable lesson at the right time. Cheap Nike Air Max Outlet .Weve got to step back and go back to the drawing board and figure it out, Ollie said after his No. 18 Huskies were stunned by the visitors from Staten Island -- and the Northeast Conference. This is a dark time right now, but its going to a period after this where we say we got better from it.Another good thing for UConn is getting right back at it, which the Huskies will do when they host Northeastern Monday night.Weve got to get tougher, Ollie said. Our two toughest guys were our two smallest guys out there. Thats (freshmen) C.V. (Christian Vital) and Al (Gilbert). Weve got to get tougher and that starts with me as a coach. Ive got to get these guys ready to play. I take full responsibility and I will do that.Northeastern topped local rival Boston University 87-77 Friday night, with senior guard T.J. Williams scoring a career-high 30 points, dishing out eight assists and grabbing four rebounds -- and graduate senior transfer Alex Murphy scoring 20 points in the opener of his sixth college season. While THOSE Huskies have youth, the experience of the two opening night stars is similar to what Wagner brought to Storrs to snap UConns 27-game Storrs opening game winning streak. We did have a 12-0 run to tie it (in the second half), but they hit a three and every time they needed a bucket they made some big-time plays, said Ollie. Thats what a veteran-laden team does.Northeastern, out of Colonial Conference, was put on the map by Jim Calhoun, who moved from those Huskies to the UConn Huskies and did pretty well there.Northeastern was picked to finish seventh in the Colonial. But Friday night, Williams became the first Northeastern player to score 30 in an opener since the late Reggie Lewis scored 32 at the Great Alaska Shootout -- against No. 2 Louisville -- in a win in 1986.That was Calhouns first year at UConn. We lost a lot of experience over the last two years, Northeastern coach Bill Coen said after Friday nights win.Murphy, who previously attended Duke and Florida, missed all last season because of injury and was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA -- taking it at Northeastern.Clearly, the level of competition rises for Northeastern Monday night -- especially considering UConn already learned the lesson of perhaps overlooking an unheralded opponent.Transfer Terry Larrier was a bright spot for UConn in his debut, scoring 19 points and grabbing seven rebounds. He played well for us, said Ollie. He was a real bright spot for us. He played very, very well for us, played with a lot of heart and played with pure heart. After Monday nights game, UConn, which likely cost itself a spot in the rankings, heads west. They visit Los Angeles, Ollies hometown, to play Loyola Marymount -- and then across the Pacific to play in the Maui Invitational. They face Oklahoma State in the tourney opener Nov. 21. Discount Nike Air Max Wholesale . Fred Couples, captain of the U.S. side, put it all into perspective. On Saturday night, the normally free throw-challenged centre did just that. Howard scored 18 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, including 13 of 19 free throws in a 2 1/2-minute stretch, and the Houston Rockets beat the Denver Nuggets 122-111. TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tra Holder scored 24 points, Obinna Oleka added 17 points and 13 rebounds and Arizona State beat Cal Poly 96-74 on Sunday night. The Sun Devils (2-0) outscored the Mustangs by 57-36 in the second half after a tight first half.Torian Graham scored 12 of his 18 points in the second half as ASU made 18 of 30 (60 percent) of their second-half shots after a spotty first half.Kyle Toth made 5 of 8 from 3-point range and led Cal Poly with 21 points. Josh Martin added 17 points. The Mustangs (0-2) led by as many as five points early in the second half, 48-43 on a Jaylen Shead driving layup against three defenders with 16:26 to play. The Sun Devils then went on a 10-3 run to take the lead and never trailed again.ASU led by as many as 25. Shannon Evans II sank two free throws to make the score 74-62 with 6:41 to play, and went 12 for 12 from the line and finished with 20 points for the Sun Devils.Cal Poly trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half before rallying to tie the score at 36 on Martins reverse layup with 3:02 left in the half. The Mustangs took a 38-36 lead on their next possession, as Martin threw down a dunk off Ridge Shipleys assist.ASU went the last 5:21 of the first half without a field goal and led 39-38 at halftime only because Holder made one of ttwo free throws with 44 seconds to go before Cal Poly let the shot clock expire at the other end. Cheap Air Max 270. al Poly shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, including 7 of 17 from 3-point range. ASU made five fewer shots, going 10 for 25 in the first 20 minutes to help keep the Mustangs in the game.Holder scored 23 points in a win over Portland State on Friday.BIG PICTURE:Cal Poly: After losses to a pair of Division I programs, including Pepperdine on Friday, the Mustangs get a shot at their first win of the season with their next two games at home against lower-division teams. Rugby league coaching icon Ron Massey has died after a long battle with illness. Sf Af1 Store .One of the games most respected figures and early innovators passed away aged 86 on Monday morning.Massey served as an assistant to coaching legend Jack Gibson during his premiership-winning reigns at Eastern Suburbs and Parramatta in the 1970s and 80s.While Gibson is acknowledged as the greatest coach of all time, Massey was seen as an integral part of the Roosters premiership wins in 1974 and 1975 before helping the Eels to claim their maiden titles in 1981-83.When Gibson became the first coach in the game to appoint an assistant, he picked Massey to be his right-hand man.Together the pair travelled to the United States to study the techniques of NFL franchises and introduced video review analysis. He was also a long-time confidant of Wayne Bennett and was alongside him in the coachs box when St George Illawarra broke their title drought in 2010.He served as Cronulla chief executive from 1990-91 and on the video review panels of the NRL and ARL.The NRL announced that a minutes silence would be held at this weekends preliminary finals as a tribute to the man considered one of the games sharpest minds. In 2013 the NSWRL acknowledged his contribution to the game by naming its second grade competition in his honour. He was also a founding member of the Men of League Foundation, which aims to help members of the games fraternity who have fallen on hard times.Massey had fought a long battle with cancer and in 2012 lost the lower part of his left leg to gangrene.Massey was born on October 17, 1929 and grew up in the Illawarra districts, south of Sydney. He played for the Collegians club in Wollongong before moving to Sydney where he met Gibson, launching his coaching career. The pair formed a tight bond which lasted until Gibsons death in 2008.He also struck up a strong friendship with NSW and Cronulla captain Paul Gallen, who credited him with inspiring him with turning around his career. In 2011, Gallen told of the expletive-riddled spray he received from Massey, who accused him of being soft and a sook, which helped him to reach his potential after finding himself at a crossroads.Massey is survived by his wife Patricia and sons Paul and Luke. Air Force 1 Grey Sale . It was just business as usual for the Thunder at home. Durant scored 32 points and the Thunder beat the Bulls 107-95 on Thursday night for their eighth straight win. Sf Af1 Outlet . Anthony Calvillo, through 20 CFL seasons, was frequently invincible and largely stoic in the heat of competition. But underneath the professional exterior he was, and is, compellingly human. http://www.airforce1storesale.com/fake-air-force-1-green-outlet.html . JOHNS, N. BOULDER, Colo. -- Colorado safety Tedric Thompson remembers going in for the tackle. From there, his memory goes blank until later in the hospital.Being carted off the field two seasons ago after the violent collision? No recollection. Pleading with trainers to call his mom? Doesnt remember it. His teammates gathered around him at the hospital after the game? That was his first memory after suffering a severe concussion. He dipped his head on the tackle -- a habit his coaches helped fix. Now, the senior clearly sees everything coming at him, which explains why Thompsons turned into an elite defensive back on a feisty defense that has the ninth-ranked Buffaloes (10-2, No. 8 CFP) headed to the leagues title game against No. 4 Washington (11-1, No. 4 CFP ) on Friday. After that hit, I didnt know if Id play again, Thompson said. Im just glad Im able to play again.Thompsons been an instrumental part of Colorados turnaround this season. Hes one of the top safeties in the Pac-12 and a turnover machine with a league-leading seven interceptions. To think, he almost gave up football at a young age. After his first practice while growing up in Los Angeles, he vowed to quit. Just too much work, he thought. But a family friend talked to him as they strolled around a park.He changed his mind, returned to practice and developed into a coveted defensive back coming out of high school.Thompson almost went to the University of Minnesota. His brother, Cedric, played for the Gophers before being drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2015. Tedric was all set to follow his brothers path until he went on a recruiting trip, where he was hosted by none other than his big brother. They had a heart-to-heart chat, with the message being this: Go to Minnesota because its what he wanted. Dont go because his brother was there.Boulder it was.I have to give a lot of credit to my brother for telling me to be my own person, not just follow in his footsteps, Thompson said.Thompson played some his freshman year and was off to a strong start his sophomore year, leading the team in tackles until that hit against UCCLA on Oct. Air Force 1 Grey Cheap Outlet. 25, 2014.He was injured in overtime when he banged his head on the knee of a Bruins receiver. Thompson was strapped to a back board and taken off the field on a cart. He lifted his hands and covered his face as he exited the stadium to applause. He remembers nothing.Since then, hes tried to fill in the gaps on that scary afternoon. Hes watched the play on film -- remembers everything up until the actual collision. Hes been told his first thought was for his mom, wanting someone to call her and tell her he was fine. Theyre extremely tight and he didnt want her to worry. His first concrete memory was later at the hospital and seeing fellow defensive back Chidobe Awuzie, coach Mike MacIntyre and other teammates there to check on him.Thompson started all 13 games last season, with three interceptions in 882 snaps from scrimmage -- the second-most on defense. That was just a prelude of things to come as hes taken his game to another level this season. His most clutch performance may have been last weekend against Utah, when he had two interceptions, four pass breakups and a fourth-down stop to help the Buffaloes clinch the Pac-12 South. For that, he was named the leagues defensive player of the week.Next up, a high-powered Washington offense featuring quarterback Jake Browning and speedy receiver John Ross.He knows how to read coverages and defenses, Thompson said. We need to keep studying him and keep studying their offense. The Colorado defensive backs are a close-knit group, even giving themselves a nickname -- The Money Gang. Thompson isnt sure who coined the moniker first, but finds it fitting. After all, Thompson, Awuzie, Afolabi Laguda, Ahkello Witherspoon, Isaiah Oliver and the rest of the secondary have been money for Colorado. It helps that we have some kind of identity that people are starting to know us by, Thompson said. It brought (our) bond that much closer.---More AP college football: http://collegefootball.ap.org ' ' '

LANDOVER, Md. Cheap Custom NFL Jerseys . -- Cashing in with four red zone touchdowns and taking the ball away at crucial moments allowed the Washington Redskins to win a game they couldve easily lost to the Cleveland Browns.Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes, including two to tight end Jordan Reed, and the Redskins forced three second-half turnovers to complete a 31-20 victory Sunday that kept the Browns winless on the season. Its just what we needed to do, said Cousins, who was 21 of 27 for 183 yards and also had an interception. The defense did a great job at getting us momentum with those turnovers. We ran the ball well. ... I think being able to run the ball effectively certainly got us going.Washington (2-2) scored more touchdowns in the red zone against Cleveland (0-4) than it did in the first three games of the season, when it was 3 for 14 . Cousins connected with Reed for 8- and 9-yard touchdowns, Chris Thompson for a 5-yard score, and running back Matt Jones scored from 1 yard out as part of his 117-yard performance. We just found a way to execute, found some mismatches, Thompson said. The run game is key. Matt had a great day today and it was able to help out our pass game, help Kirk out.The Redskins blew a 14-0 lead and fell behind 20-17 before shutting down Clevelands running game and taking the ball back. Linebacker Will Compton forced a fumble by fullback Malcolm Johnson -- on the first carry of his career -- late in the third, Ziggy Hood knocked the ball out of Duke Johnsons hands early in the fourth and Josh Norman picked off Cody Kessler to set up Jones touchdown.Weve got to get stuff corrected, Compton said. But we won the game. We made big plays when we needed to make big plays.Browns running back Isaiah Crowell ran for 112 yards and a touchdown, and Kessler was 27 of 38 for 215 yards, one touchdown and one interception.NEED FOR REED: With his 8-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Reed became the fastest tight end in NFL history to 200 career receptions. Reed hit the 200 mark in his 38th game, one faster than Pro Football Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow Sr., and had his fifth multi-touchdown game.Reed made nine catches for 73 yards.WHO RECOVERED?: Shortly after Duke Johnsons fumble, he stood up and raised the ball, but the Redskins were given possession. The Browns werent exactly sure the call was the right one.Within half a second, Duke stood up and held it up in his hand. I think the ref was still trying to find out where the ball was, Kessler said. And Duke was yelling, `Hey, I got it right here! Its right here! And unfortunately the call didnt go our way.For his part, the running back said he was sure he had recovered the ball but blamed himself for losing it in the first place, not the refs for possibly ruling incorrectly.PUT IT IN PARKEY: After missing three field goal attempts last week, including a 46-yarder at the end of regulation that could have won the game, Browns kicker Cody Parkey bounced back in a big way. In his second game with Cleveland, Parkey was good from 51 and 45 yards out.REDSKINS DEFENSIVE BLOWS: Already without cornerbacks Bashaud Breeland and DaShaun Phillips, the Redskins defense lost three more players against the Browns. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan left in the second quarter with an elbow injury, linebacker Sua Cravens in the third with a concussion and safety David Bruton in the fourth with a concussion.Coach Jay Gruden said Kerrigan would have an MRI on his elbow. On the Cleveland side, center Austin Reiter injured his left knee, and tight end Randall Telfer injured his ankle.JACKSONS CLEATS: Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson wore cleats with a design of yellow police caution tape to start dialogue about the senseless killings of both citizens and police. Originally set to wear them just in warmups, Jackson said he felt it important to wear the cleats during the game, too.I felt like Ive been silent long enough, Jackson said. Whatever the response is, thats what it is, but I feel its time for me to make a stance.PRYOR CHANNELS LEBRON: After his first career touchdown catch, Terrelle Pryor mimicked LeBron James famous chalk celebration, throwing the ball into the air. He earned a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for his trouble.QUOTABLERedskins cornerback Will Blackmon on Norman, penalized for a bow and arrow celebration following his interception: I didnt know they got him for that, and Josh did it like way off the sideline too. He might be on the cusp of owning the worst start ever as a Manly coach, but Trent Barrett has been credited for keeping the Sea Eagles from falling apart this NRL season. Stitched Jerseys Wholesale .Barrett currently sits alongside former Manly mentors Des Hasler (2004), Wally OConnell (1950) and Tony Paskins (1963) to have just four wins from their first 15 games in charge of the club. However there is some hope for the rookie coach, with Hasler going on to claim two premierships in the eight seasons under his guidance, even if the first trophy didnt come until 2008.Ahead of Mondays clash against St George Illawarra, Sea Eagles star Daly Cherry-Evans said Barrett has endured a difficult introduction to coaching but has played a big role in keeping the team united. The situations hes been put in as a rookie coach is nothing short of unbelievable, Cherry-Evans said. But I cant fault the man in his resilience and his character, the way hes been able to keep us together as a playing group. Its quite easy in situations like this for playing groups to split. The 14th-placed Sea Eagles face off against the 10th-placed Dragons, a club where Barrett failed to bring his own premiership as a player despite being in one of the strongest sides of that era.Dragons coach Paul McGregor, who goes head-to-head in the coaching box against a former teammate for the third time in as many weeks, felt for the under-fire Barrett.Baz has had a pretty tough first year. His side was benchmarked to be a top four side and it hasnt worked out that way, McGregor said.Hed be doing it tough but hed be committed, working hard towards improving.Barrett has named an unchanged line-up that almost upset North Queensland in Townsville last week, although there are question marks surrounding the availability of veteran No.1 Brett Stewart. For the Dragons, who can catapult into the top eight with a win, mid-season recruit Tariq Sims returns after sitting out last weeks win over Newcastle.STATS THAT MATTER* Manly have defeated St George Illawarra just eight times in 23 matches, their worst record against any team in history.* The Dragons have an awful recent record in Monday night football, winning just twice in 17 games since late 2011, including losing their past six.* Brett Stewart is currently in a 10-game try-less drought, easily the longest of his 14-year career. NFL Store Online . -- Stanfords Kevin Danser knelt on one knee and hardly moved on the sideline as Michigan State celebrated its Rose Bowl victory and his Cardinal teammates made their way to the locker room. Jerseys China . In the lead up - which seemed to begin the moment Mike Geiger blew the whistle in Houston last Thursday night - the Impact rumour mill went into overdrive. The speculation went into meltdown mode, of the golden nugget variety. http://www.cheapnfljerseyswholesale.com/ . Newcastle dominated in the early stages but City weathered the storm and then raised its game in extra time. Negredo broke the deadlock from close range after a simple move in the 99th minute before Dzeko took the ball round goalkeeper Tim Krul to seal the victory in the 105th. PITTSBURGH -- In the end, familiarity was the deciding factor for Rob Scuderi. For the Pittsburgh Penguins, too. Less than an hour into NHL free agency, the Penguins were reunited with an old friend. Four years after he signed with the Los Angeles Kings weeks after helping the Penguins to their third Stanley Cup, Scuderi signed a four-year, $13.5 million contract with Pittsburgh early Friday afternoon. "When moving your family, the transition can be kind of odd and awkward," the 34-year-old defenceman said. "I thought going to Pittsburgh, the familiarity with the area would make for an easier transition. "And most important, the team in a win-now mode." Scuderi, who also won the 2012 Cup with Los Angeles, missed only nine games over his four seasons with the Kings. The Penguins advanced to the Stanley Cup Final during Scuderis final two seasons with the Penguins; since, they have won three playoff series in four years. They were swept by the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference finals last month. Scuderis teams are 13-5 in playoff series with two Stanley Cups, three appearances in the final and four conference finals over the past seven years. "Lets face it, Im a plug," Scuderi said of his simple game. "I play good defence, Im going to move the puck tape-to-tape when I can, and when I dont have an opportunity to, Im going to put the puck in the safest areas. Its not the prettiest thing in the world, everyone knows that. But it can be effective. "One of the reasons I felt comfortable coming back is that tthe Penguins said that was what they were looking for. Cheap Authentic Jerseys. I want to make sure Im a good fit for what they need and that together we can do some good things." Scuderi has seven goals and 79 assists in 585 career NHL games, including one goal and 11 assists in 48 games last season. He had a career bests in points (16) and plus-minus (+23) with the Penguins in 2008-09. A 1998 fifth-round pick of Pittsburghs, the Syosset, N.Y., native became a regular with the Penguins following the 2004-05 lockout. He was a reliable presence on the ice and popular in the dressing room, but with the Penguins up against the salary cap he was let go in free agency in July 2009, signing a four-year, $13.6 million deal with Los Angeles. His extended family remains in Long Island, and thats where his wifes family also resides. Scuderi said that was no small factor in his decision to relocate back east. Other than the Kings, Scuderi said he was only willing to consider signing with Eastern Conference teams. "To be able to play (the three New York City area-based) teams consistently wand with Pittsburgh being a seven-hour drive or a one-hour flight as compared to a cross-country flight is something that I missed over the last few years. I missed having them be part of our lives and their grandkids lives." Scuderi has appeared in 515 of a possible 540 regular-season games since the 2006-07 season, including the past 264 consecutive regular-season contests. He hasnt missed a game since Dec. 7, 2009, playing in every game of the past three seasons. ' ' '

Vanderbilt fell behind 17-14 late in the first half before the rattling off three straight touchdowns.Ronald Butler completed 19 of 30 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Tennessee State (5-2) in the second all-time meeting between the Nashville schools that are only three miles apart.Patrick Smith caught seven passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers, ranked 25th in the FCS polls.Butler got Tennessee State off to a great start by throwing two touchdown passes to Smith on the Tigers first two possessions, including a 93-yarder on the games opening possession. But Tennessee State was unable to make it stand as it gave up 350 rushing yards to the Commodores.I thought defensively we struggled in the first half, Commodores coach Derek Mason said. It was a rough start, but offensively, I thought they came on and did a really good job of answering back.Vanderbilt took its first lead at 21-17 with 1:46 left in the half after Darrius Sims had a 33-yard run to the 3 and Blasingame punched it in to cap a five-play, 78-yard drive.Ralph Webbs 49-yard run up the middle to the Tigers 24 got Vanderbilt off to a good start on the first play from scrimmage of the second half.Blasingames third touchdown, this one from 4 yards, increased the Commodores lead to 28-17 with 12:54 left in the third quarter. The Commodores Ryan White forced a fumble and Dare Odeyingbo recovered at the Vandy 30 early in the fourth quarter and Trent Sherfields 14-yard run capped the scoring for Vanderbilt with 6:08 left.Their personnel out-bigged us; they play big boy football, Tigers coach Rod Reed said. They brought three tight ends in at times and were able to run the power and lean on us a bit. (Vanderbilt) did what we thought they would do, we just missed some tackles. The Tigers fell to 0-3 against FBS opponents.THE TAKEAWAYTennessee State: The Tigers got off to a good start, leading for much of the first half, but the Commodores wore down Tennessee State with its running game. Tennessee State was able to move the ball with 410 yards of total offense but they gave up 501.Vanderbilt: The Commodores enjoyed their best running game of the season, rushing for 358 yards as Ralph Webb and Khari Blasingame both broke the 100-yard mark. The Commodores won their second straight game to reach the .500 mark.UP NEXTTennessee State: The Tigers visit Murray State next Saturday.Vanderbilt: The Commodores have a bye next week before visiting Auburn on Nov. 5. Fake Yeezy 700 Cheap . - Blake Griffin had 30 points and 12 rebounds, J. Wholesale Yeezy 350 . Howard Ganz, an MLB lawyer, said in a letter to U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos that Rodriguezs claims do not come "remotely close" to what is needed to overturn an arbitration decision in federal court. ASHBURN, Va. -- Forcing three second-half turnovers helped the Washington Redskins get back to .500 after a 0-2 start and masked a whole host of problems plaguing the defense this season.Injuries to several starters, tackling woes and third-down inefficiency are among the top issues going into this weeks game at the Baltimore Ravens. The Redskins may get back linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and cornerback Bashaud Breeland, but whoevers on the field will have to wrap up opponents better than against Cleveland.Coach Jay Gruden counted 11 missed tackles in Sundays 31-20 victory over the Browns, more than a few of which came in crucial situations as Washington fell to last in the NFL in third-down defense. The Redskins are allowing conversions on third down 57 percent of the time, and Gruden wants that mark at 35, especially important with a veteran quarterback up next in the Ravens Joe Flacco. Were not even close right now, Gruden said. Its an issue. We have to get better on third down. These teams that we play are very good coming up. Baltimore is an excellent team, Flacco, and were going to have to get better on third down.So far the Redskins have tried a little bit of everything with man-to-man and zone coverages and havent managed to solve the problem. The lack of a consistent pass rush hasnt helped. Were just going to continue to mix it up and do some things and hopefully get more pressure on the quarterback and cover better, Gruden said. Thats all we can do.Tackling in the open field would be a positive step, too. Browns running back Isaiah Crowell picked up many of his 115 yards after contact, and Redskins players took responsibility. Defensive end Ricky Jean Francois said the Redskins showed a lack of fundamentals -- and thats on the players, not the coaches. This week will include film study and talk about tackling. Gruden isnt sure if players are ducking their heads too much but is confident players will make the necessary aadjustments. Discount Balenciaga. Itll be an automatic improvement if the Redskins get back Kerrigan, who left the Browns game with a hyperextended left elbow, and Breeland, who sat out with a left ankle injury. Gruden said theyre day to day and that safety David Bruton and linebacker Sua Cravens are in concussion protocol after getting knocked out of the game.Safety DeAngelo Hall (torn ACL) and nose tackle Kedric Golston (strained hamstring) are already out for the season, but the other injuries left the Redskins in no mans land, unsure of who will be able to play. These injuries are tough because they could be OK, Gruden said. Youd hate to bring in a bunch of new people and have to make roster changes when these guys might be OK to play. Thats the biggest problem with them right now. I think in-house were OK right now without having to bring anybody else in unless we get worse news on some of these injuries. Some stability would help on that front, especially in red-zone situations and in run stopping, where the Redskins have struggled. For all their problems, the Redskins are 2-2 after games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Browns. And they have an awareness that things are far from rosy at the quarter mark of the season.Weve got to play better, linebacker Will Compton said. Fortunately were 2-2. Our ceiling is way higher than what weve had in seasons past.Game notes Gruden expects guard Shawn Lauvao to practice mid-week after missing the Cleveland game with an ankle injury. ... INDEPENDENCE, Ohio --?LeBron James is an unabashed NFL fan who attended the Cleveland Browns 35-10 loss to his beloved Dallas Cowboys?on Sunday during a rare in-season off day for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jeimer Candelario Jersey .Based on the NFLs television ratings -- down by 19 percent for Sunday Night Football, 24 percent for ESPNs Monday Night Football and 18 percent for Thursday night games through the first seven weeks of the season compared to 2015, according to the Washington Post -- the NFL could use more fans showing that same type of loyal viewership.James, one of the NBAs most high-profile stars, said he isnt sure why fans are tuning the NFL out.Ive heard some of the comments from some of the players, as far as the game, the fun part of it is kind of being taken away. And I know when I played football, I played it for that reason, James said after Cavs practice Monday. For the competition, one, and for the fun of it ... Ive seen a couple of the main guys talk about how the game is not as fun. Its all political, things of that nature, at this point. You definitely dont want to take the fun away from the game. Thats why we all fell in love with sports in general is because you have fun with it at the beginning. But Im not the commish. Im not on the board. I dont know what [the explanation is]. Football is such a great sport, but I dont have the answer for why fewer people are watching.Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was one player who pointed to the NFLs reputation as the No Fun League as a primary reason for its decrease in popularity.Because the league isnt fun anymore, Sherman told reporters last week. Every other league, you see the players have a good time. Its a game. This isnt politics. This isnt justice. This is entertainment. And theyre no longer allowing the players to entertain. While NFL ratings are struggling, the NBA is seeing its viewership grow. Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Cavs and the Golden State Warriors drew 30.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched Finals game since?Michael Jordans final appearance with the Chicago Bulls?in 1998.To know that you were a part of a game that people watched and wanted to watch you [is special], James said. When they say it was the highest ratings since Jordan in the Finals, thats a lot of pride. Thats like humbling. Thats great that people want to watch you and watch your team. People are always going to talk about that moment. Its a great feeling.Major League Baseball also enjoyed a strong World Series, with Game 7 between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians drawing 40 million viewers -- the most for a World Series since 50.3 million people watched Game 7 in 1991 between the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins.Ive known baseball for years, they needed a push, James said. I think with the World Series and playoffs in general it definitely helped. Being a part of three of the World Series games, the Cubs and the Indians, I think that history of them not being part of the World Series and not winning it definitely helped, and also being two Midwestern sports teams as well helped as well. And then the games in general, when you go out and compete and youre watching these two clubs go at it, that definitely helps the ratings. People want to see what happens next, whats the storyline going to be tonight?James didnt want to imply that the NBAs and MLBs momentum could allow another sport to unseat the NFL as the most-watched sport in America. Were just trying to continue to build our game, James said. I dont want to talk about a shift and things of that nature. I havent done -- I know people [calculate] numbers where they can gauge whats been happening over a number of years; I havent done that -- but I know what happens in our sport, and I can have a sense of what happened with baseball this past season. Cheap Tigers Jerseys . Cumberland shot 25 of 64 (39.1 percent) and was 7 of 20 from deep (35 percent). The win is the second in a row for the Skyhawks, who earned their first win of the season Sunday by knocking off UT Rio Grande Valley, 88-80. Cheap Nike Shoes . In that time, hes recorded 17 goals and 17 assists with 36 penalty minutes. Calvin Johnson, who retired from the NFL early because his body was starting to break down, said many players are choosing to do whatever it takes to stay on the field. That includes taking painkillers.I guess my first half of my career before they really, you know, before they were like started looking over the whole industry, or the whole NFL, the doctors, the team doctors and trainers they were giving them out like candy, you know? Johnson said in an interview with ESPNs Michael Smith for E:60 that debuts Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.If you were hurting, then you could get em, you know. It was nothing. I mean, if you needed Vicodin, call out, My ankle hurt, you know. I need, I need it. I cant, I cant play without it, or something like that. It was simple. Thats how easy it was to get em, you know. So if you were dependent on em, they were readily available.Johnson, 30, said he knew he couldnt do what it would take to overcome his injuries, of which there were many, to keep playing. The former Detroit Lions star underwent knee, ankle and finger surgeries. He retired in March after nine seasons in the NFL.I know where my bodys at, know how it feels, you know, he said. I know how it felt to one, get it to go every day. And to be out there actually doing it every day, you know -- the pain to do it. So Im just like -- and you cant take Toradol and pain medicine every day, you know. You gotta give that stuff a rest, and that was one thing I wasnt willing to do.Johnson currently stands second on the all-time list in receiving yards per game behind Julio Jones at 86.1. He led the league in receiving twice and went to six Pro Bowls in his nine-year career. Despite an 88-catch, 1,214-yard season last year, he has repeatedly said hes not coming back to the league. He said he wants to be able to function after football and finish his degree at Georgia Tech. Many players are dealing with the post-football concerns, including the effects of concussions. Johnson was asked if hees had to deal with concussion issues. Cheap Nike Shoes From China. He said that even before the movie Concussion came out and elevated the discussion in popular culture, he was concerned about it.Concussions happen, he said. If not on every play, then they happen like every other, every third play, you know. With all the helmet contact, guys hitting the ground, heads hitting ground. Its simply when your brain touches your skull from the movement or the inertia, man. Its simple to get a concussion, you know. I dont know how many Ive had over my career, you know, but Ive definitely had my fair share. Johnson didnt come out and blame the league for knowingly putting players at risk, but he described a culture that demands that players play. The team doctor, the team trainers, they work for the team. And I love em, you know, he said. Theyre some good people, you know. They want to see you do good. But at the same time, they work for the team, you know. Theyre trying to do whatever they can to get you back on the field and make your team look good. So if its not gonna make the team look good, or if youre not gonna be on the field, then theyre tryin to do whatever they can to make that happen.Johnson went onto the field many times when injured, but he finally decided he didnt want to do that anymore. Still, he doesnt regret his career. And he said he will definitely miss it.I mean, whos not gonna miss it, you know? he said. Its ... youre playing the greatest game against some of the best athletes in the world. You know, and its a bone-crushing game, and you gotta love that about it, because it takes everybody to do their job right in order for you just to, just to sniff victory, you know? So, like I say, I love it, I loved it. I left it all out on the field, I feel like. And had a great time, made some great plays that I felt like my fans will remember. ' ' '

SEATTLE -- The NFL will review the performance of referee Walt Anderson and his officiating crew after a bizarre first-half sequence from the?Seattle Seahawks 31-25 win Monday night against the?Buffalo Bills?that led to hand-wringing and finger-pointing from all sides. Bulls Jerseys 2020 .The controversy, which initially began over whether Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman should have been penalized for unnecessary roughness against Bills kicker Dan Carpenter, led to several minutes of confusion and eventually a missed 54-yard field goal by Carpenter at the end of the first half.NFL senior vice president of officiating Dean Blandino, who confirmed that Sherman should have been penalized for unnecessary roughness for his hit on Carpenter, will look into the matter, per normal protocol. A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder that discipline for egregious mistakes by Anderson and his crew is a possibility. The sequence also upset coach Rex Ryan and Bills players after the game.Ridiculous, Ryan said after the game. Absolutely ridiculous. [Officials explanation] doesnt matter [because] it was wrong. Its clear what happened: The guy roughed our kicker. Jumps offside and roughs our kicker.Carpenter, initially attempting a 53-yard field goal with 3 seconds remaining in the half, appeared to be injured when Sherman went offside and fell into Carpenters legs. The play was blown dead because of Shermans penalty. Sherman also appeared to get away with an unnecessary roughness penalty that wasnt called by Andersons officiating crew.Anderson defended his decision after the game.I didnt feel like the actions and the contact, because we were shutting the play down, warranted a foul, he told a pool reporter after the game, adding that the stadium was loud and that Sherman might not have known officials had blown the play dead. One of the things were just looking for is, does the player have a chance to realize that were shutting the play down from that standpoint, Anderson said, and whether or not he has an opportunity to avoid any type of contact once he realizes that were getting the play shut down.Bills trainers ran onto the field to tend to Carpenter, who remained on the ground after being hit by Sherman. Because trainers entered the field of play, Carpenter was required to exit the game, leaving the Bills without a kicker for the end-of-half attempt.Sherman said he completely disagreed with Blandinos assessment that Andersons crew did not make the correct call, saying I didnt go for the kicker, I went straight for the ball.[Carpenter] should have not kicked it, you know? he told ESPNs Lisa Salters after the game. Maybe he wanted to; I went for the ball. So when the ball gets tipped on a play, the rule is, there is no flag.Sherman disputed that the play was dirty, telling reporters after the game, Im a pro. Ive been in this league long enough. I know how hard it is to play. When you go for a block, thats what you do. You go for a block. Even if I was offsides, you still stop the play. Youre not going to let him just kick the ball freely and let him have a free play. He could have made the decision not to kick the ball. He saw the flag before I did. He has a better vantage point than any of us.During the confusion over the penalty and ruling about Carpenter, players on both benches began to run toward the locker room for halftime. As that happened, Ryan and his brother, Bills assistant head coach/defense Rob Ryan, appeared to exchange words with Sherman.Hes mean mugging like hes doing and whatever, Rex Ryan said of Sherman after the game. The guys a great player. I guess it wasnt as bad as I thought. I thought he roughed our kicker. It was a ridiculous play, no question. Then hes over on the sideline, taunting us. So I had some words. I think I said, Youre too good of a player to act like an ass. I think thats what I said.Asked after the game about the exchange with the Ryan brothers, Sherman said the stadium was too loud to hear what Rex was saying and that Rob was talking to himself.Added Sherman about Rex: I didnt say anything. I just looked at him. Hes one of those coaches that likes to talk. Its fun to see what he has to say.Officials then had to clear the field before the Bills, with rookie running back Jonathan Williams under center, had to spike the ball to stop the clock. With one second remaining on the clock, the Bills lined up for a 49-yard attempt but were called for delay of game after the play clock expired. On their ensuing 54-yard attempt, Carpenter missed wide right.Officials were standing over the ball on the second attempt with 4 seconds remaining on the play clock, which led to the delay of game.I usually try to give [the officials] the benefit of the doubt, but they lost control of that play, Bills long-snapper Garrison Sanborn said after the game. They didnt know what was going on, and they let the crazy situation affect it, in my opinion. They needed to pump it up [reset the play clock]. Its a very standard, simple thing they do all the time, and they never pumped up the clock back to restart it once we got the right [kicking] ball. So that was all on them.Added Rex Ryan: From an officiating standpoint, I think you can do a little better than that.Anderson acknowledged the error after the game, If there was that little time left, then thats probably a mistake on my part in not pumping the play clock back up. But I was not aware that it was that far into the play clock.Blandino later said on NFL Network that Anderson should have reset the game clock prior to the delay of game.We are absolutely going to address it, Blandino said of the entire sequence. Anytime you have a sequence like that at any point during the game we want to see what happened and just walk through the steps of where the breakdown was. Regardless of the outcome of the game, we are going to address the situation with our crew.Though he wasnt involved in the game, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker was also quick to voice his displeasure for the no-call on roughing the Bills kicker:Kevin Seifert and Mike Reiss contributed to this report.
